Not good for Mitt but not devastating either. It's still worse for Hillary. The reason for that is, Mitt hasn't been running a national campaign. He's been focusing on Iowa and New Hampshire. Hillary, on the other hand, has been a national presence for almost two decades.
But don't think I'm just being overly GOP optimistic, or shilling for Mitt. As things stand, the GOP is looking at running the least-worst of the above against Hillary's machine. And that isn't a recipe for victory.
Let's hope the dynamics in the country and consequently the race in 08 change before the Fall. And don't kid yourself that Hillary simply can't win. You'll find that your dislike of her isn't mirrored by enough of the general population to stop her. It'll take a GOP candidate that a great many people actually want very much to vote for to beat her. Obama might be the GOP's best hope. Does he think Republicans are evil? I don't know that it matters. Hillary has helped him to figure out that Democrats are far from Saints.
Among the leading Presidential candidates, New York Senator Hillary Clinton and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney have the highest level of core opposition among voters. Forty-seven percent (47%) say they will vote against each of these candidates no matter who else is on the ballot.

Could this be legit?
"The Cooler has obtained documents that show Mike Huckabee received $378,000 in consulting fees during 2006, while he was still governor of Arkansas.
Most noteworthy, $35,000 came from Novo Nordisk, one of the world's largest embryonic stem cell researchers. It seems that when money is at stake Huckabee may be able to look past his supposedly fervent opposition to this procedure
He also received speaking fees and honoraria from churches while Governor. "

The same Rasmussen poll shows Mitt would beat Hillary in the general.

"It'll take a GOP candidate that a great many people actually want very much to vote for to beat her." Fair enough, but winning won't matter if the GOP winner is a double-secret libhead. Besides Obama can't be counted out.

What's with the Hileriaphobia?
Fred is right, although not as often as a broken clock. Obama has a greater than 50% chance and Edwards still has a long shot.
I don't think any of the repubs can win this primary. BROKERED CONVENTION ANYONE?
The saddest of possible words, Huckleberry, Romney and Paul :)

Rudy - The more he campaigns the worse he does.
McCain - half you people hate him for reasons
unclear.
Romney - Difficulty in faking sincerity on any
issue.
Thompson - Needs better scriptwriters. Too bad
about the strike.
Paul - Crazy with $. Won't win but could ring up
10/15% in many states. I know he's not
polling that way but polls are done of
likely voters. I think his supporters are
unlikely voters.
Huckabee - Maybe?
