Bob especially has distinguished himself as a blogger because of direct sourcing, most specifically in the TNR Beauchamp affair. I imagine he or someone else can do the same as regards Hussein's trial.
I'm no fan of the AP, but wouldn't they be being accused of a cover up if they weren't reporting on it? I'd rather they did. With everything from bloggers to independent news agencies out there, to Reuters and McClatchy - the factual story of BiIal Hussein and his trial will be told. I'd rather they be caught not telling an accurate story, than attack them for not going near it at all.
