We've always been told it's all those layers of editors that make the difference between bloggers and so-called legitimate news organizations. In an effort to battle increasing competition, the AP has come up with a new plan involving them, it's called AP2.0. The answer? Get rid of them. Heh! Guess they weren't so valuable after all.
Mr. Kennedy said another goal was to get editors in the regional bureaus back into reporting, which would increase the amount of content, and to reduce the number of people who work on an article during a news cycle.

Are any journalists bothered by this trend? And, if not, why not? Why does this news come from a blogger?
