A Key Iowa Endorsement?

It appears Michelle Malkin will have something of an exclusive tomorrow with the announcement of a key endorsement out of Iowa.

U.S. Representative Steve King has been reported to be leaning toward Romney. But endorsements can sometimes be hard to predict. Bloomberg pronounced him something of a kingmaker in Iowa and indicates immigration is his key issue. I imagine electability counts.

The lawmaker, who's positioning himself as the state's Republican kingmaker before the Jan. 3 presidential caucuses, is subjecting his party's candidates to similar scrutiny over their policies on illegal immigration to ensure they share his views.

King may be leaning toward former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney....

You gotta be F'in kidding me right?

Dan, it looks like Mitt's positions on gun control and immigration aren't sitting too well with a lot of conservatives. What did I tell you? When he started heading to the top, he was going to get the scrutiny, and he wasn't a conservative. Looks like I was right on both counts.

Oh, crap, and now stories are starting to come out questioning the Mitt Administration's involvment in allowing criminals to go free, or appointing a judge that has let criminals go free who have killed three people.

My, my how the worm has turned.

Do you have any thoughts on this, Dan? After all, you've been, excuse the word, crucifying Huckabee for having these very same positions. Surely we will now see Mitt take a hit from you for doing the same thing Huckabee did. Won't we?

JJ, I don't see that happening. Currently, Mitt is the *most electable* for the early primary states.

Rudy still maintains a poll lead in the Super Tuesday states though... so we will have to see.
