Remember the Black individual who asked why Republicans can't attract Black voters? He's all over You Tube as a Liberal Dem. Meet would be TV writer David McMillan and watch him celebrate Karl Rove's departure, or attend an Obama fundraiser.
Judging from Michelle's must read, it appears that CNN couldn't find one typical Republican supporter to ask a question. Even the Confederate Flag guy is a Paul nut who wants to eliminate 90% of the government and outlaw the Teacher's unions. Okay, maybe he isn't THAT far off base.
What I would do as president.
I would first eliminate the IRS and the Federal Reserve and if the cutting of at least 90% of our government agencies didn't clear up enough government expenses I would implement something like the FairTax (assuming congress is friendly to me).
Everything that can (legally) be privatized, will be privatized. This does not include something like our current "Federal" Reserve system which is as federal as Federal Express (FedEx)Of course this is all a dream... but one of my individual proposals for current suicidal system that is on my mind right now is the criminalization of Teachers unions.

they're not plants, anyone was allowed to post comments. Just b/c they're supporters of other candidates they're plants? No. Unless you can prove they were hired and paid to do this, they're just normal people asking candidates questions. This is what democracy is all about. I'm sorry the conservatives on the blogosphere couldn't muster enough activism to actually participate, but again, reality has a well known liberal bias.
As you stated Dan, the left gets the new media, the cons dont.

Let's see.
Over 5000 video questions submitted.
Of the small number picked, a substantial number were people who were:
a) declared supporters of Dim candidates
b) staff members of Dim candidates
c) declared Dim voters
Paid or not, yes they were plants.
Just like the last Dim debate which featured more of the same.

The fact that _YouTube_ was a principal venue for the event, along with CNN... let's connect the dots:
YouTube is *owned* by Google, a far-left corporation that is firmly in bed with the leftist MSM.
Nutroots Moonbats flock to YouTube, because it is practically an echo chamber for the left (pro-Christian, pro-America, and anti-Islamist resources have a lifespan of about 30min on YT, as opposed to the virtual deluge of pro-Jihadist, anti-American propaganda and anti-christian media which tends to have much more staying power).
CNN of course, should be better known as the Clinton News Network, as it has all but become HRC's campaign media engine.
So yeah - I am not at all surprised that this was turned into a "let's marginalize the GOP even further" tirade.
What we really need is for a conservative venue like the Club for Growth or Focus on the Family or the NRA to pony up some cash and host a debate. No more talking snowmen or guitar heroes or planted fruity-pantsed Sorosbot generals.

Yeah, where are the Conservapedia Debates?
http://www.conservapedia.com/Special:Statistics
Look at all the interesting things the candidates could talk about.
I suppose the Republicans could have boycotted the YouTube CNN debates like Dems boycotted the FOX News debates. No one would fault them for avoiding a debate on partisan grounds. But the Republicans have already boycotted so many debates - the Louisiana debate hosted by the African American University, the Spanish Language Debate, the Family Values Debate - perhaps they were afraid they'd be ceding too much air time to their Dem rivals.
Of course, the real joke in all of this was how seekeronos and the Sisters of Perpetual Victimhood continue to insist that the GOP is somehow being magically marginalized by forces totally beyond its control. (God, maybe?) It's not the fault of growing anti-War sentiment or an increased desire for state-sponsored universal health care or the death of guns/gardeners/gays as firebrand issues. It's the media, who clearly are not selling the Republican Agenda with the right flare. The YouTube debates weren't a laughable disaster because of the GOP Candidates, but because of extreme and pervasive liberal bias. Somewhere out there exists a silent majority who will march to the polls in 2008, if we can just get them to believe soaring national debt, nation wide corruption, and perpetual war are what's best for America's future. But these debates aren't marketing what the GOP is selling, and that's clearly everyone's fault but the Republicans'.

That Conservapedia link - how much timew did it take you to locate that one, Islamobama?
Let's have a look at those issues again:
Guns: Ya'll want to take away my guns, or at the very least, make it so that law-abiding citizens cannot easily get them... and by default, y'all make it VERY easy (by comparison) for criminals to get them... because criminals don't obey the laws.
Gardeners (your code word for illegal immigrants) : Sorry, but they should not get special rights and privileges at the expense of citizens. Nor should they think that they have a right to migrate here and fail to assimilate into mainstream American culture.
Gays: I have no political issue with them, so long as they do not try to destroy the current and correct definition of marriage or family. In case you missed it, a marriage = 1 mom + 1 dad (along with any children, which makes it a family). Gays with guns in the military? Fine by me, just keep it in your pants while on federal property or in uniform. What you do behind closed doors in the privacy of your motel room or off-base housing is your own private matter (so long as it isn't illegal).
National Debt: Yes, it's a shame. We need to cut back spending and draw down our forces in EUCOM and selectively in PACOM, or reassign them into CENTCOM as needed.
Perpetual War: What bunk! It is a long war, but one with a single goal in mind - victory. We won't leave until the job is done, but it will get done, and eventually we will draw down from that theatre as well.
Media Bias? you can't prove to me that it isn't a factor in all of this.

I don't know about this; after all, whack job and all around nitwit, John Cole appears to think that there was nothing amiss about the questioners or the questions. On the other hand, I seem to recall that he perfectly understood why the Democrats should never ever appear in a debate on Fox.

Hi Dan,
Sorry I didn't throw this to you last night, but between my first and second post it'd already been picked up in LGF and FR comments, then Hot Air, then MM and off it went, I've been trying to keep up all day, including a radio spot in Delaware and rattling the cage of the Democrat Congresswoman from Venice, CA (she's released a statement distancing herself from "Concerned Corn Boy").
It's been a fun day, frustrating and sad too, but it made me remember how fun this can be. I haven't forgotten that I owe you one on the Stephen Dupont story, and I'll make good for ya.

No problem, Jason. I thought about looking into them last night but had other stuff going. Good on you for digging them out. And, Teach, yeah, and sadly he always likes Coulter and Tancredo. Kinda makes ya wonder, eh? sheesh.

"It is a long war, but one with a single goal in mind - victory."
wow, do you even read what you write? this sentence is meaningless

Again, the youtube debate is just democracy in action people. It's amazing to me that the wingers get all upset and have to construct large conspiracies to explain why regular americans are upset with the Republican party. And it's even more amusing that you all believe these questions shouldn't be aired. It's as if none of you wingers really like democracy all that much.
Posted by: LOL | Thursday, November 29, 2007 at 10:52 PM
We love our representative republican form of democracy, LOL.
It's the idiots in charge of the leftist media who seek to squelch the voice of the American people, either by active interference of passive allowance.
For every whacked out leftist/islamist/marxist video that gets posted to YouTube, there are at least a handful of conservative or even centre-right videos that get banned within minutes of being uploaded.
That is to say, if the vid doesn't pass the nutroots freaky-left muster, certain busybodies who have nothing better to do than to police the net for any Christian or right-wing stuff spam the ban button with al due vigour.

What's funny is that if you watched the dem debate there were several questions from people who were obviously voting Republican. There wasn't a huge stink about that.
"either by active interference of passive allowance."
Translation: if you allow "allow" leftists comments then you are scum. If you "interfere" with conservative comments you are scum.
You are not in favor of democracy--the idea of democracy. You want control. It must anger you so much that there are millions of Americans with views antithetical to your own that you cannot control. This is a common to all wingnuts and explains their widespread anger at the debate.
The fact is, America--especially its younger generation--do not agree with your nightmarish visions for the future. Listen wingers, you are a dying breed. You tied your anchor to 9/11 and generations from now, people will have the perspective to see that 9/11 was not the Worst Thing in History.
