This via the New York Times on the 21st: David Bohrman, CNN’s Washington bureau chief and executive producer of the debate:
Most questions online have been pulled from public viewing for review, but many of the remaining posts involve asking the candidates to defend their opposition to gay marriage and abortion. Those kinds of “lobbying grenades” would be disqualified by the CNN selection team, Mr. Bohrman said.
“There are quite a few things you might describe as Democratic ‘gotchas,’ and we are weeding those out,” Mr. Bohrman said. CNN wants to ensure that next Wednesday’s Republican event is “a debate of their party.”
Let's see. Do you take the Bible completely literally? Should women who have abortions be jailed? Why can't gays serve openly in the military? Why don't Black people like Republicans? Would you accept support from the Log Cabin Republicans? Do you support waterboarding?
So what happened?

I still stand by my notion that YouTube, as a subsidiary of the ultra-leftist Google Corporation, is long in the practice of snuffing out any substantial right-wing content submitted by users.
Christian user content has a habit of disappearing down the YT memory hole quite fast.
That said, Joseph Dearing, the user who asked the "do you believe in *this book*?" ... is not the typical YouTube atheist. In fact, he is a Baptist - a possible Ruckmanite, which are far and away among the most fundamentalist leaning Christians. I found that his presentation was quite effectively worded in that it passed muster both with the liberal censors at CNN, Google, and the user community at YT.
Outside of his YT submission though... yes, I'd say that CNN had more plants in that debate than the Amazon Jungle has trees.

What happened? Clinton News Network-Communist News Network-Crap News Network. Take your pick. I wouldn't even watch the debate on the slimmey network. Get the information later on the blogs.

It's stunning that CNN allowed this to happen. Are they totally unaware that millions of people know how to use Google to find out who these people are? It's just outrageous. Lefties (and CNN) are reduced to whining that the critics just don't like the questions the people asked so they're attacking the questioners. Another diversion is speculating that so-called "Republican questions" were asked in the Democratic YouTube debate in July.

.. Why did it take about 5 minutes for Bill Bennett to "get" that the Generalwas a Potted Plant when the CNN Clueless bunch had many weeks to "whittle" doown the LONG list as proclaimed by one of their "talking heads' before the Debacle and even had to work the "whole day" to reduce the list... only to make sure that not only the Clinton Plant was there in Person But the Jon Boy Breck and O'Barrymen were allowed to ask the most unimportant of questions which really were meaningless ... Will the Clinton News Network allow UP FRONT Republicans to ask Questions at their next Presidential debacle JOKE? or should they relinquish this to the COMEDY CHANNEL???
