Actually, Fred is correct here, unfortunately, so is Wallace. Thompson's coverage on Fox has been mostly negative, but it's been that way everywhere else, too. So it isn't only Fox. And Fred is correct as regards the positive mention at NRO for putting out detailed proposals. The problem Fred has is that detailed proposals don't win elections. You can bemoan that if you like; nevertheless, it's true.
He said he is running second in national polls and has been leading or tied for the lead in South Carolina for "a long, long time."
Thompson, in a firm, but measured tone, scolded Wallace: "...for you to highlight nothing but the negatives in terms of the polls and then put on your own guys who have been predicting for four months, really, that I couldn't do it, kind of skew things a little bit. There's a lot of other opinion out there."
Krauthammer and Barnes regularly appear on Fox. Krauthammer is a syndicated columnist and Barnes is executive editor of The Weekly Standard.
Wallace denied to Thompson that "Fox has been going after you" and asked, "Do you know anybody who thinks you've run a great campaign, sir?"
Thompson responded, "It's not for me to come here and try to convince you that somebody else thinks I've run a great campaign." He added that National Review magazine has praised him for issuing detailed policy proposals on Social Security and immigration.
Following the sharp exchange, a smiling Wallace said, "I'm glad I asked the question because I got a heck of an answer."

"--- The problem Fred has is that detailed proposals don't win elections. You can bemoan that if you like; nevertheless, it's true. ---"
This is unfortunately quite true.
Unless Fred (and more so, his campaign management) shows more willingness to get his hands dirty and sling the necessary levels of "Bravo Sierra"... he may not get as far as he would like to.

I think the Weekly Standard boys have picked their candidate and Fred's not him.
It was the same with immigration.
If their on the same team as the rest conservatives, it must be special teams.

Before the vivid change in FOX's coverage of Fred about 4 months ago, I did not see bias from them at all...it was an incredible and pathetic sight to watch unfold as I personally saw it happen. However, several thousand wrote FOX weekly if not daily in protest...they know we know.
Yet, the other MSM is well known for their bias and even their ever-ready manipulation of what is reported with a heavy slant of their own message to the extent they will not report in denying a proof of anything other than their message...we know this.
Is it any wonder then that ridiculous aspersions that were constantly repeated and reports of "not being entertained" instead of listening to plans and solutions that will work have been almost drowned out??
Case in point; Look at yourselves. It isn't "bemoaning" to demand from ourselves to accept leadership that's right, to see that there is light at the end of the tunnel if you take the right paths with the correct guidance.
Where you suggest American voters are nothing more than scum-sucking socialists and will choose who "entertains" them, I offer we will recognize and take what's right for the country and ourselves.
If I'm wrong and we've already slid past the hope of our own salvation, we don't have that much farther to fall before it's every man for himself.

Unfortunately for Fred, he hasn't given Fox or anyone else much reason to get behind him. He simply isn't running a good campaign.

How would you know? Nothing he is doing is being covered. We only get crap like Kraut's lie of, "There's no there there." Actually Fred has more specific, realistic, substantive proposals than any other candidate published in black and white but the MSM (and I include Fox here) gives it one mention then ignores it. Thompson has been on the trail, making speeches and visiting people, doing the press-flesh-and-kiss-babies (the "Bravo-Seierra Seek mentions) routine for months and the only time he gets from the MSM is coverage of how terrible he's doing in Cow Hampshire (funny, they seldom mention him doing better than rudy in Iowa).
Skewed is the right word.

"How would you know? Nothing he is doing is being covered."
And there is the problem. A necessary part of running a successful campaign is making sure you're getting covered. Public Relations, (i.e. Self Promotion) is crucial. And that is the job of the candidate and his supporters.
