More importantly, will Murtha's statement affect the Democrat's current attempt to block funding for troops in Iraq?

One can predict their reaction with absolute certainty. They will say: "Won what, at what cost?

These "progressives" will then smear Iraqis as not worth the cost and they will continue to bash the conduct of the war.

We need to keep reminding these reactionary losers that not only did we prevent Saddam from re-starting his nuclear weapons program (and one can say with certainty that he would have done so as soon as sanctions ended) but we also defeated al Qaeda in Iraq. And Iraqis fought al Qaeda alongside us.

And on a par with the establishment of a democracy in Iraq, unlike liberals, Iraqis learned first hand the vile nature of al Qaeda and that the only way to deal with them is to kill them.

Don't hesitate to enlighten liberals about the impact of the Iraqi quagmire on the fortunes of al Qaeda. Far from boosting their standing among Muslims, Osama's not so excellent Iraqi adventure has his organization's repuation in the toilet because of the tactics they used to try to get the Democrats to surrender.
