Mapping Muslims

I imagine this flows from NYC's ground breaking work on combating terrorism. If Islamic radicalism is bred, in part, through isolation, you need to know where those communities are to engage them. Naturally the usual suspects are against it.

LOS ANGELES - Civil rights advocates criticized plans by the Los Angeles Police Department to map the city's Muslim communities, calling it racial profiling.

The LAPD's counterterrorism bureau plans to identify Muslim enclaves in order to determine which might be likely to become isolated and susceptible to "violent, ideologically based extremism," said Deputy Chief Michael P. Downing on Thursday.

It's not "racial profiling"... any more than people who choose to be Islamists can choose their skin colours.

I prefer the much more accurate terminology of keeping a vigilant watch over a population with a demonstrated propensity to harbour and breed enemy combatants/terrorists.

Islamic radicalism is inherent in the religion but even more so, in Islamic culture. To paraphrase the old cliche' - it's the culture, stupid.

There is no such thing as a moderate muslim, there are only muslims. Those who we call "moderate" are simply not very religiously observant. Those who are, are fundamentalist and radical by our way of thinking. In other words, Islam is the enemy, not "Islamo-fascism" or "radical Islam", there is only Islam. Islam where there is not separation between religion and state, where the religion IS THE STATE and vice versa.

The only hope for the West is to separate as much as possible from Islam. Reduce their immigration into Western countries dramitically. Otherwise, you'd better have your wife get a headscarf and you better get a prayer rug to kneel down onw daily. It's coming.

By the way, I'm a life long resident of Dearborn, Michigan so I know a thing or two about Islam and Muslim immigrants.
