Great Moments In Education ... Not!

Michelle updates an ongoing Columbia University hunger strike.

I told you last week about the Columbia University hunger strike against Racism/Ethnocentrism/Gentrificationism/Etc.-ism. It’s still going.

Take a look below the headlines at some of the faculty now supporting them. Is Leftist Prof. Coco Fusco lying about her background? Her on line resume states: Place of Birth: New York City. Not according to this profile.

Born in Cuba in 1960, Coco Fusco earned her bachelors' degree in Literature and Society and Semiotics at Brown University and a masters' degree in Modern Thought and Literature at Stanford University. Fusco is currently an associate professor in the Visual Arts Division of Columbia University’s School of the Arts.

Nicholas De Genova expanded on his hatred for America here. And Wen Jin was busted by the NY Post for apparently helping students cheat on exams. Check out the rest of the names via Michelle - quite a roster of great educators, that, I'd bet.

In my brief presentation, I outlined a long history of U.S. invasions, wars of conquest, military occupations, and colonization in order to establish that imperialism and white supremacy have been constitutive of U.S. nation-state formation and U.S. nationalism. In that context, I stressed the necessity of repudiating all forms of U.S. patriotism. I also emphasized that the disproportionate majority of U.S. troops come from racially subordinated and working-class backgrounds and are in the military largely as a consequence of a treacherous lack of prospects for a decent life. Nonetheless, I emphasized that U.S. troops are indeed confronted with a choice--to perpetrate this war against the Iraqi people or to refuse to fight and contribute toward the defeat of the U.S. war machine

At least one democrat isn't afraid to tell the truth. They hate America and the military

I just wish the rats would follow through, you know, go all the way with their hunger strike. But, alas, no such luck, their hunger is for media coverage, which will end their strike before they miss over two meals.

Well, keep hope alive for the Boob to begin a hunger strike that will come to full fruition, haha! Thank you for your service, Boob! You are such an inspiration to all the anarchists and America haters.

It's comical how many on the left ran from their home countries because they couldn't live there, but came here and try to put in the same type government that would have made them disappear in their home country. Get real people the communist and dictators will kill you here to, only quicker. They have as much use for trouble makers as I do.

There's an opposing group = Why We Act, Why We Eat

Ya know.. an impish part of me hopes that the counter-strikers (the eaters) order all kinds of savoury food - Buffalo Wings, Hoagies, Pulled Pork Sammiches...

... Pizza, CheeseSteak sandwiches... anything that kicks up a powerful aroma that drives those moonbats to either break ranks and feed their starving, anemic little selves.

I'll be down in the city tomorrow for some other bidness, mayhap on my lunch hour, I can go find the biggest, greasiest steak sammich, and park myself upwind of that miserable lot. :P
