This is almost about as troubling as it gets, given that she took classified information home and had family members at a Hezbollah fund raiser. Sometime between January and September she apparently became a Certified Public Accountant in Va: Nada Prouty, Vienna
Along with that, it appears she was first employed as a waitress at a restaurant owned by a brother-in-law currently on the run for tax evasion and funneling millions of dollars to Lebanon. There's a murder charge against a relative mixed in, as well. See links below.
A Lebanese national who fraudulently gained U.S. citizenship through a sham marriage managed to obtain sensitive jobs at both the FBI and CIA, and at one point used her security clearance to access restricted files about the terrorist group Hezbollah, according to court documents filed yesterday.
Prouty's sister and brother-in-law at one time attended a fundraiser in Lebanon featuring a speech by Sheik Muhammad Hussein Fadlallah, whom the U.S. government identifies as a terrorist and as an ideological leader of Hezbollah. But a U.S. official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because details of the probe remain classified, said that "at this point, there is no reason to treat this as a counterterrorism case" involving a hostile group.
She came from Detroit and one of the files she accessed involved an investigation into Hezbollah there. Meanwhile, her brother-in-law, who seems to have owned the restaurants that first employed her, is on the run. Here's more on his charges. Debbie Schlussel wrote on him extensively here. Updated here.
The second, in June 2003, involved files from a national-security investigation of Hezbollah that was being conducted in Detroit, which has one of the nation’s largest Arabic-speaking communities.
The documents suggest that she came under scrutiny as part of an investigation of her brother-in-law, Talal Khalil Chahine, in a scheme to funnel millions of dollars from his restaurant to people in Lebanon. Mr. Chahine is a fugitive from tax evasion charges filed in Michigan.
As for the rest of us, we know that La Shish owner Talal Chahine is involved with a lot of nefarious things. And we know that La Shish restaurants weren't making that much money. Most of the $16 mill came from other "activities." A Shia Muslim, who is a member of the Hezbollah mosque, Chahine was suspected of making his money from drug-dealing, and using his restaurants to launder the money. Relatives of his, got federal prison time for dealing and were believed to have taken the fall for him. His son, Khalil, was twice arrested for drug-related offenses.
Not long ago, that same son, Khalil, was convicted of murder. He murdered Paul Hallis, a Maronite Christian Arab, for the crime of daring to become engaged to a Muslim woman--a woman who reportedly dated the younger Chahine AND his married brother-in-law, Ali El-Ozeir. Yes, there are Islamic honor killings in America. And FYI, prior to his jail stint for murder, Khalil Chahine was the youth leader at the Hezbollah mosque.

"fraudulently gained U.S. citizenship through a sham marriage"
US citizenship is the key. Without this, she would have been able to accomplish almost none of what she did.
Why should the simple act of marriage to a US citizen be enough to gain citizenship for oneself?
