Whatever the situation on the ground and within the government, I doubt anyone interested in the war on terror will be taking their eyes off Pakistan anytime soon.


Musharraf is not the ally we like to pretend he is. But if he loses power, and it looks like he will - if not now, then soon - we will like what replaces him even less. Forget Bhutto - her chances of controlling the Islamists are even less than Musharraf's.
