Ed's Charges Off Base

Ed at CQ charges the Christian Science Monitor with journalistic malpractice. Without getting into the he said, he said nature of the original charges, the claim of malpractice seems unfounded. Yes, Ijaz raised money for Clinton/Gore in the nineties, but anyone who watches Fox should appreciate that there's been something of a split. Ijaz took Clinton to task repeatedly for doing nothing on Bin Laden. He claims that Sudan was prepared to surrender him. As I mentioned to Allah, Ijaz was at one point thinking of running against Harry Reid. Ijaz may have an agenda for himself, but I think we need more than ten year old FEC records to start hurling charges around about journalistic malpractice.

This is the only disclaimer offered by the CSM: "Mansoor Ijaz is chairman of The Crescent Investment Group, a private equity firm based in New York." That fails to reveal some deep connections to Romney's potential opponent in the general election
