If Rush Limbaugh and Fox News are right wing then there's a huge left-wing market out there to tap. Rush laid the foundation for left-wing talk radio, if there's a market for it.
Air America's launch was built on this premise. That Limbaugh is hyper-reactionary, so there was money lying on the ground for left-wing radio to scoop up by the handful.
The result? No audience at all for Air America. That means Rush isn't right, he's populist/centrist.
If Fox News is right-wing, then MSNBC should be coining money picking up the left-wing equivalent. Instead they're sucking mud. So Fox News is centrist, too.
The rest of the MSM is hanging on the ragged edge of the left-wing in America.
