If past stories on the subject are correct, we probably shouldn't look forward to a Clinton/Powell ticket. But this is an interesting bit of name dropping. What bothers me the most is her suggesting that she wouldn't even wait to be inaugurated to start reaching out around the world. Don't be surprised if opponents pick up on that little tid bit. Patience, Hillary - America already doesn't like you enough and this type of atitude doesn't help.
ABC News' Eloise Harper Reports: Hillary Clinton often talks about sending her husband around the world to conduct diplomacy but on Tuesday, the Senator said she would also call on Colin Powell.
"I have said I won't even wait until I'm inaugurated, but as soon as I'm elected I'm going to be asking distinguished Americans of both parties -- people like Colin Powell, for example -- and others who can represent our country well, including someone I know very well," Clinton told the predominantly black audience after receiving the endorsement of dozens of South Carolina ministers.
