As TV Week sadistically points out, 21 entertainment blogs are going dark in support of the current writers strike, putting the bloggers in the position of having to refrain from posting at the very same time they are likely to be getting more linkage than ever.
UPDATE: Glowy Box (good name, tho fellow protesting blog "Seriously? OMG! WTF?" also has merit) has updated her Tuesday blog blackout list: 21 entertainment blogs and counting will go dark in a few hours. With the story of their protest getting considerable online pickup, let's see if they can all withstand that that meth-like blogger urge to post content tomorrow as their traffic surges.

Blogs 4 Bush is deleting posts again. I guess he never studied a foreign language.

Excuse me, but what is the point? Do they honestly think they are going to pressure the big studios into coming to terms with the writers by not bloggin?
Yeah, the studio heads are dying for more Britney crotch shots and Amy Whinehouse druggy stories.
Sorry, I like some of the celeb blogs and all, but they are a bit full of themselves in this case.
No one cares if you don't blog about Pete Doherty or Paris Hilton for a few days! In fact, its a plus!

Hollywood writers are on strike? Who knew?

TV...? Whazzzat?
Oh, that idiot box that I use only for the occasional sports update and news indoctrination won't be spewing forth as much useless drivel?
A joy and a delight indeed.
As for the Celebritard blogs... I guess a day or two of not being informed of the latest blow-by-blow (no puns intended) of Britney's ongoing train wreck of a life won't kill me.

And what are the bloggers going to get out of it?
Aren't the "hollywood writers" the ones responsible for ruining american culture and values. Seems all they have to offer is a lot of meanness, vulgarity and anti american hatred that we're suppose to accept as entertainment. Bring in the freelancers.

Do, re, mi, mi, mi.
Oh I'm so glad that I am not in
That Lefty land that I am not in
Look away, look away, look away
Hollywood.
I'm glad that now I read less gossip
I won't see more of Spears's crack up
Look away, look away, far away
Hollywood.
