The Way Things Ought To Be was the title of Rush Limbaugh's first book. It was light reading, meant for infotainment more than anything else. I mention it as Mark Tapscott uses the phrase in noting the Left's manifesto I posted on yesterday.
Netroots agenda for America doesn't include freedom, democracy
The Left's agenda isn't meant to entertain. It's a strategy document in process being designed to acquire power. The center and the Right had better get busy on something similar, or we'll find ourselves lost for good on the American political scene. After all, those who fail to plan, plan to fail and the Left isn't making that mistake.

Did Rush have a chapter in there on legalizing Hillbilly Heroin? Cause if it were, he wouldn't have to Doctor shop.

Oh I don't know about the urgency of conservatives generating a similar document, as publicizing the liberals' own plans does a better job imo. It puts in plain writing what they believe, how they think, and what they would do if given power. Your average Dem and independent voter would bolt from that leftist agenda faster than you can say "tin-foil kooks". My problem with liberals is that in the past they have too often masked their extremist views, posturing as moderates. With the growth of the nutroots, they feel emboldened to tell folks how they really think and feel. Scream it to the rooftops liberals! We can't hear you!

Perhaps recruiting or encouraging a Conservative Heavyweight to put forward a plan which point for point - exposing the danger of this leftist manifesto, and posing even better, conservative solutions that preserve our liberties.

Not gonna happen, the left is fascist by nature. All that matters to them is power. The right cares about principles and will debate on how to solve problems. The authoritarian left cares nothing about the country only the power to control it.

"The right cares about principles and will debate on how to solve problems."
Talked to Michelle Malkin recently?

It never fails how the average person doesn't get how truely evil the left is. Just take a look at almost every major act of genocide in the last century and ask yourself one question: What political group was behind it? The answer. It was the left.
