The Mother Of All Battles

She's coming, Hillary that is. Obama may yet have a small window of opportunity open to him, but it'll be a real stretch for him to get through it. Meanwhile, Edwards is looking like the proverbial child without a seat.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has consolidated her place as the front-runner in the contest for the Democratic presidential nomination, outpacing her main rivals in fundraising in the most recent quarter and widening her lead in a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.

For the first time, Clinton (N.Y.) is drawing support from a majority of Democrats -- and has opened up a lead of 33 percentage points over Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.). Her popularity, the poll suggests, is being driven by her strength on key issues and a growing perception among voters that she would best represent change.

In all likelihood, Hillary will get the nod on the Democrat side.

Her machine is good, battle tested and far more advanced than it was when Bill won thanks to Ross Perot. Just think, without that crazy, bug-eared Texan, we might not even have to have this fight. But we probably do. And it isn't going to be easy, or pretty.

Courage! ; )

The ambulance chaser was barely in the race to begin with. He doesn't even fool the most die hard leftist. Obama? Well ya can't go telling the world that we should go after UBL in Pakistan whether they like it or not. He's a babe in the political woods. Hilary is the brightest, sharpest politician of the field and the dems ONLY chance. Now the breck girl is out of the way, we'll soon learn that Obama licks frogs or some BS. Even Oprah will turn on him.

Gotta go liquidate some stocks and buy gold......

Willy, I'm making plans for an early retirement if Hillary gets in. Change of scenary will be nice.

You watch - Fred! Thompson is going to finish his nap, get out of his golf cart and start talking. You libruls are in for it!

Not if JJ. It's when she gets in

Well, then, Willie, look for me just below the dam on the Little Red River near Tumbling Shoals, Arkansas. My cousin and I bought 80 acres of land there. Beautiful scenary, small town, great fishing and hunting, and nice conservative people. Very few Boob/chris types, as they are afraid of the rednecks, so they are on their best behavior.

"they are afraid of the rednecks" hahahahaha, they're afrraid of anyone who can take care of themselves without gument intervention.

Afraid of rednecks? Hardly. More like adverse. Just like I'm not afraid of garbage dumps, I simply choose not to go there. Get it - garbage/trash?

yawwwn

As I've predicted here for months the pacification of Iraq is proceeding apace. The progress is obvious to rational people who make reasonable attempts to determine what is happening in Iraq. The only file for POTUS (and anyone who wants to be POTUS) as important as Iraq is Iran. And how has Rodham Clinton, with the vast resources available to her, handled the Iraq file?

For starters, she fails to have her staff do any any investigation of whether the strategy of America's pre-eminent COIN expert is working (or she has incompetent boob-like staff) so when the General appears before the U.S.Senate, instead of keeping her uniformed big trap shut she plays to the insane (anxious to lose) base of her party. She calls the man in charge of this important undertaking, who risks his life everyday for his country -a liar. Pathetic and stupid. Even with the distasteful task of not alienating the nuts who want to see their country defeated she could have said something like this:

"General Petraeus, you have the most difficult job of any American and I laud you for your dedication and courage.

And I know you have to believe the mission can succeeed or you would be duty bound to report to the President that to continue the mission will only result in the needless loss of America's best.

But my difficulty is that we've heard before that the insurgency is on its last legs and we only need to stay the course for another six months. I wish I shared your optimism and I wish you well and I am condident that if the situation in Iraq is not noticeably improved in six months that you will report to the President that we've done our best but the Iraqis aren't ready to assume the responsibilities of a democracy and it's time to bring our young men and women home."

But she didn't because, among her other shortcomings, this harridan isn't as smart as she's portrayed. I have a higher opinion of Americans than to think this woman will be the next POTUS.

Terry Gain - obsessed with his failed little war. Don't take it too personally, patriot. I'm sure you did all you could...

"this harridan isn't as smart as she's portrayed"

She failed the bar exam on the first go. The blogger Ace of Spades passed his bar exam on the first shot.

Poor boob. His country's impending victory does rest lightly on his shoulders. He desperately wants his country (and Iraq) to lose to the Islamofascists. Poor boob can't even spell the word without looking at his notes.

He will claim his country is losing to the bitter (for him) end. His hate for his country is exceeded only by his stupidity and his hate for "the brown people" as he calls them. He could be a poster boy for the new left. He knows nothing, not even enough to STFU when it's clear he's wrong.

4 1/2 years and the plumbing-free brown people are still running amok in Baghdad. Mission accomplished, heroes! The surge is WORKING!! Victory is yours in 2014!!!

BobinStamford,

I have a theory about your real identity: you're actually Karl Rove posting under an assumed name and tossing out goofy, factually indefensible assertions just for s***s and grins.

I mean nobody, but nobody, could say the dumb stuff you post...unless they were deliberately "firing for effect."

Hey, am I right or am I right?

"Bob":

Jesus loves you - it is not too late to bow your head and bend your knees in repentant prayer, and ask Him to save you from your sins and from a certain eternity in Hell.

He wants to forgive you of your sins, of your despicable racism and hatred against your human brothers and sisters in Iraq and Iran for calling them "plumbing free brown people", among other things.

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13, KJV)
