Harry Reid et al must be just plain stupid. This is a battle they are going to lose and lose miserably. You Tube below from Rush Limbaugh's site - he has more there. This is nothing but a means to try and create momentum around their greater desire to shut down as much of Right Wing talk radio as they can. And it is going to back fire in a major way against the very liberal pols engaged in this foolish enterprise. The MSM will not carry their water in this type of fight, except perhaps MSNBC, which carries anything Media Matters dictates.
It's also going to provide some momentum to a Right Wing base that has been pretty much de-moralized in recent months. Reid blasting Limbaugh as unpatriotic after kowtowing to the worst of the nut roots crowd, including it's most notorious surrender monkeys is a hoot, as is John Kerry trying to make some hay out of the deal. Sit back and enjoy the show folks, the Dems have bitten off more than they can chew and given that they are basically toothless when it comes to supporting the troops, this will produce a quagmire for them that will make Vietnam pale by comparison.
They are the voices of losing and of losers, while Limbaugh has always been the opposite. Make no mistake, when those two forces collide as they seem to be now doing, the winner is a fait accompli. Rush will ride this nonsense for all it's worth, as he should - and in so doing, he'll ride the Dems and put them away wet when he's finished. As I said, enjoy the show. By every measure, to likability, popularity, etc - the cards are so stacked against the Dems it's impossible to understand what on earth possessed them to take on this fight. Perhaps it's just another symptom of Bush Derangement Syndrome (BDS).

Let's see; Rush has recieved all sorts of tributes and accolades from the troops since this thing began
Reid calls the troops cowards, murderers and rapists in front of the whole world.
Damn, this one is just TOO close to call

I always suspected you would defend the indefensible, but now there is proof. Limbaugh's 'clip' is doctored. The transcript limbaugh put up is a cut and paste job worth nothing. You can watch and read (if any of you can read) what actually happened at media matters. If you are going to spit in the faces of our brave soldiers, at least you can discover what truly happened. If you are going to support the chickenhawk limbaugh, then you are all what 70% of America thinks of you: unpatriotic fools who will follow your boy king over a cliff. America needs strong and brave citizens to rescue her. I am thinking you will be of no help at all.

Tom Harkin is speculating on the Senate floor as to whether or not Rush "Was on drugs again"
Also the House is introducing a resolution praising Rush for his support of the troops.

Poor Tom is worried that about a minute of discussion about WMD and IED stuff was cut out.
Doesn't matter they had absolutely zero to do with the issue at hand.

Yep,Tom, you liberals sure are brave and strong in your support of the troops. Let me see, Murtha calls a number of our Marines murderers, and you know what happened there. Then, you libs have Scott Beauchamp, a real war hero for the liberal side, and then there is Jesse MacBeth. Yep, you really support the troops, Tom. I believe the term hypocrite is an apt description of you, Tom.

If you want to believe that Rush thinks dissenting soldiers are not real soldiers then go ahead. I'm in full agreement with that. My God who wants any kind of military where soldiers are in full agreement with thier leaders? Scary really. However, there is absolutely no basis in fact that he does not fully support the military otherwise.

Even FDL is saying Reid is wrong and Rush was under free speech protection.
But then is calling for removal of Rush from the Armed Forces Radio Network.

Via Powerline
I think that's right. Media Matters knows that anyone who looks into its charges will know that they are bogus. But that's almost beside the point. Their objective (i.e., the Clintons' objective) is to arm fellow-liberal mainstream media outlets with excuses to ignore Limbaugh ("He insulted the troops!") and O'Reilly ("He's a racist!") as the election approaches. It's all about putting Bill Clinton back in the White House.

To see Tom Harkin and Harry Reid talking like they know waht they are doing, when a quick examination of the facts show them to be ..
Well calling them stupid would be an affront to stupid people.

What's driving this? -- Easy to see, the effectiveness of hanging MoveOn around Hillary Matters neck. The whole Clinton swamp is coming into focus as the little old lady in a Hsu. The Dems are all in on Iraq defeat, they have no options left but to pray the Limbaugh lie will be carried by the parrot media and stick.
Going to be tough to argue with someone who has 3 hours a day to refute the lies.
Now add to this the Soros politicization of science with NASA's Hansen fudging the HCN temperature data and faking globull warming, the ozone hole going back into the who knows column, you get impending Democrat doom.
Raise taxes, fund socialism and gun control. Democrats are easy to figure out, and everybody is doing it these days.

This is the link which you 'patriots' need to review. It is documented everywhere. How on earth you can support limbaugh is astounding. I know your little worlds are starting to crumble around you, but at least have the balls to discover the real truth about this episode. Both sides have better things to do, but since you 28%r's need something - anything - to hang your hats on, at least know what happened and who said what. Please don't go into a valid debate with only limbaughs words as ammunition. You will be slaughtered.
You believed the lies of the administration about Iraq. you believe the lies about Iran. you believe the lies about spying and stuff like that, but you don't believe the truth. What a sad state of citizens you are. BTW, this has nothing to do with anything except finding the truth on your own - without powerline, coulter, faux news, etc...Find it yourself and you will be surprised at what you did. I know you are scared of all the furriners and stuff, but show some courage. Climb out from under your beds and get in the game. America needs you right now. Chickenhawks are lame.

So Tom what you're saying is that the people who listened to the show are liars. The show's transcripts and the Limbaugh letter are lies. That the only source we should believe is Media Lapdogs? Because they have no reason to "color" things with their own slant. Right?
Posted by: Wahoo Willie | Monday, October 01, 2007 at 05:35 PM
Another question please Tom: Where was your outrage with the dems who cast aspersions on the troops?
Posted by: Wahoo Willie | Monday, October 01, 2007 at 05:38 PM
And how many nanoseconds shall elapse until the libs and the socialists start harping and a-carping for the "Fairness Doctrine" and a o-fish-al gubmint censorship --- erm, media fairness review board -- staffed only by all of Hitlary and Tedward Kennedy's bestest donators and other friends?

I guess his mom called him to supper Seeker....or he has to find more names to call people

Tom
Put down the pizza for a minute and listen up
Some of us have been to the sandbox and have seen it with our own eyes.
It tells a whole different picture from what you are seeing in your mama's basement

Media Matters forgets the first rule of holes and keeps digging today by calling the AP liars for a story they did on the Rush comments.
Guess everyone who doesn't buy their poor analysis is a lying sack if you don't drink the Kool Aid.

I heard this exchange live and knew exactly what Rush was talking about. This man has always supported the troops and blasted those that don't, ie: Harry Reid. Anyone that believes differently doesn't listen to Rush or know what he stands for. This is a smoke screen attempt by the libs in the senate to distract the country from the fact they still are a do-nothing senate.
