Pelosi: Jail The Poor???

via The Washington Post - a priceless Pelosi quote regarding anti-war demonstrations in front of her San Fran home:

"I had, for five months, people sitting outside my home, going into my garden in San Francisco, angering neighbors, hanging their clothes from trees, building all kinds of things -- Buddhas? I don't know what they were -- couches, sofas, chairs, permanent living facilities on my front sidewalk."

... "If they were poor and they were sleeping on my sidewalk, they would be arrested for loitering, but because they have 'Impeach Bush' across their chest, it's the First Amendment."

Poor Nancy. She can't catch a break. See the recent stories on the SF homeless for background (“People have realized they can hate George Bush but still not want people crapping in their doorway.”)
Don't worry though, SF Board of Supervisors will undoubtedly vote that defecating in doorways is protected speech as well and they'll be back to business as usual.

All she needs to do is cut off funds for Iraq, impeach both Bush and Cheney, and let Hugo Chavez draft our laws.

Pelosi just pushed thru the 2008 Economic Stimulus Plan and has cut all funding increases from assistance for elderly and disabled and poor. This includes heating assistance for the disabled and elderly. This woman is an evil player in the world of politics working to destroy everything below the upper middle class.....heartless and wicked, she belongs on Capitol Hill with the rest of the fat cats, stuffed full of goods, raises, vacations , benefits and tax breaks...not to mention totaly full of themselves. I'm beginning to hate this country's government. I think we are a key qualifier to be on the axis of evil. "RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT 2008".
