So, I get an email entitled Dan Riehl Is Swine - thank God it wasn't from an old girl friend for a change. ; )
A liberal blogger at FiredogLake uses the "S" word, while linking this bit at Whiskey Fire - but note that they are from the same blogger going by the name of "Thers". Evidently I'm a "swine" for posting "get over it" when it comes to slavery.
just briefly pause to note that Dan Riehl is swine
So, who is "Thers"? aside from someone who needs a life? Just another liberal crackpot, it would seem. Get over it, Thers - I mean the "professor" at a junior college deal. Junior Colleges serve a great purpose in America today, but, really, that's like saying you're a Dean at a freaking day care center, you loser.
A community college professor from upstate NY. My wife & I have 347 children, all of them rotten.

You should demand a apology.
Like they did after being called “the foul-mouthed fem-blog FiredogLake.”

Loser? Methinks you shouldn't be throwing stones in that department...

Sorry - just reread the link. The crosseyed decider needs phonetic spellings to pronounce countries? - after 7 years as the Vacation President? What a sad sack of shit you rednecks voted for (twice).

Well, chris, I'll say the choice your side made with putting a traitor on the ticket decided it. Even with all the voter fraud your side was guilty of, you still couldn't win. That's what is sad. A thief couldn't even steal the election for a traitor. But I'm sure your side will be back. Now that's a shame.

for reminding me of the joke (I'd heard it before, but with a different enemy, its updatable to whomever we want to mock, might have started with Nazies for all I know.
By next year it might be Iranian Revolutionary Guards instead of Al-Qaeda.
I do genuinely believe that our guys, due to superior training, tactics, strategy, equipment and morale, courage and general elan ARE worth 10 of any enemy on the planet, even on the enemy's home turf with thousands of miles of supply lines and communication delays between the homefront and the battlefront.
That's why the US has been _militarily_ victorious in EVER WAR IN WHICH WE'VE EVER FOUGHT and that includes Viet Nam, where we consistently kicked NVA and Viet Cong ass, just like we did Chinese and North Korean butt in the Korean war.
The fact we have an all-volunteer, highly motivated and professional army just adds to our superiority.
I wish that all the America-bashing Eurotrash, Latin-American communists and other third world countries who love to hate on the US could be dropped into a Twilight Zone like parallel universe where the USSR had prevailed and was the single superpower on the planet. Its either dumb luck or proof God does indeed exist that he endowed the most honorable and selfless country in the history of the world with the greatest military.
For all the talk about how imperialistic we are, exactly how much territory have we annexed or maintained hegemony in a real sense over in the last 100 years?
That's right, NONE. Suck on that, Noam Chomsky.

Who is Thers? He's this dork.

But be careful with him, Dan. If anyone leaves him a nasty comment, you'll be known for threatening his children. Better you should just submit to his JuCo enlightenment and accept your punishment for failing to walk the progressive path. Or, you could fire at will. Whatever.

ROFL "SUCK ON THAT NOAM CHOMSKY" I love this petty machismo (of a vicarious strain mind you) postures as intelligent foreign policy.
Hey kid, I'm pretty sure Chomsky would argue back: What of all the resources we've annexed--after a fashion--with thug regimes like Saudi Arabia buying up all our weapons and enriching our defense contractors.
The wingnut mind is an idiot savant of craven contradictions. On the one hand government organizations running things like domestic health care, child care, welfare, and services will all become horribly corrupt with awful results. But on the other hand, hundreds of billions given to defense contractors with little oversight will be a glorious ejaculation of righteousness! Selling arms to dictating governments and burning up our own arms in strange and distant lands is great. THe wrong person will never get hurt, because OUR government is the greatest thing the world has ever seen.
please kiddo. It's pretty freaking obvious that as a kid you played too much risk and didn't go outside enough

Hey doc, you've given me a real hard on, baby. How about you come over here and take care of it for me, sweetie?

"I love this petty machismo"
Obviously. You're one of the primary engagers in it.
"I'm pretty sure Chomsky would argue back: What of all the resources we've annexed--after a fashion--with thug regimes like Saudi Arabia buying up all our weapons and enriching our defense contractors."
What of it?
That's the cost of existing in the real world as a superpower.
You can't dissociate yourself from other nations just because you have idealistic snits over their methods of self-governance. You would, by nature, exclude roughly 80% of the nations and 90% of the world's people from having formal access to the US. That means diplomatic and commercial interaction.
What happens to a store when it disqualifies 90% of its customers from transacting business because it doesn't like the way those customers dress?
It goes out of business.
What happens when a country refuses to do business with 90% of its fellow nations because it doesn't like the way those nations act? It has made enemies of 90% of the nations on the planet.
Chomsky is a good English teacher; he's a retard when it comes to foreign policy.
So are you, for that matter.
"Selling arms to dictating governments and burning up our own arms in strange and distant lands is great."
It's necessary from time to time, and likely even at this time. You may disagree, of course, but if you want to have a discussion on *why* you disagree, something apart from axiomatic sneering is requested. Foregone conclusions held onto with religious fervor upon the issue of foreign policy are much like foregone conclusions held onto with religious fervor upon the issue of religion.
Frankly, I consider them both religions and their adherants are worshipping their articles of faith.
