Obey-Wan And The Phantom Menace

The power of the anti-tax force is strong, says Obey-wan-payola. The Dark Side via The Weekly Standard points out that it's actually domestic spending that's moving forward at the speed of an Imperial Cruiser, but you must not listen to that young pork-walker. Turn away ... turn away, we've a war to lose, or the empress will get pissed as she has no answers and even her powers will not get us out of Iraq before 2013. We must fight on no matter how hopeless our cause, or how hapless we appear.

President Bush will not get an Iraq war supplemental spending bill until he changes course on the war, House Appropriations Chairman David Obey (D-Wis.) said Tuesday. The powerful lawmaker also voiced his support for a “war tax.”

Domestic spending? Then cut out the tax giveaways to the oil companies and big pharma too.

Bush is asking for $190 billion for the war next year. That's up from the $142 billion he wanted earlier this year and $100 billion in the 2007 budget. Ever notice that almost everything you see in print these days about any program shows how any increase will be paid for except the War in Iraq? It's time we started paying for Bush's favorite debacle instead of pushing off the cost to generations as yet unborn.

I thought liberals didn't think of the unborn.

They usually don't Cindi... in fact, they'd much rather kill of as many of the unborn as possible to keep us troublesome serfs from messing up Big Mama Gaia, and their plan for running the USA into the ground as fast as possible.
