Note To Stephen Colbert
So, Stephen Colbert is running for President. Putting aside Linda Lovelace, who also ran for Prez, this guy did it with NBC as his launch pad when NBC actually meant something, as in it was one of only three national networks and it became something of a uniquely funny national goof.
Colbert's talented, if far too derivative for my tastes, though Jon Stewart, whose show he announced on, is funnier. And maybe it's as much the fragmented mass media as anything else that gives us the niche stars we have today. But I remember Pat Paulsen and you're no Pat Paulsen, buddy. Good luck with the shtick campaign.
In Memory...
Patrick L. Paulsen
comedian, statesman, politician, husband, father, friendAt age 69, he was called to fulfill his final destiny.
May God bless you Pat,
... you will be missed.

I think THIS is funny
BEIJING (AP) - China might not have a permanent presence in space yet, but the country's rocket men are already thinking about setting up a Communist Party branch in the outer reaches.
Now 14-strong, the Chinese astronaut corps more than meets the party's minimum requirement of at least three members for a branch, the official Xinhua News Agency said Thursday.

*shrug*
The liberal biased media wouldn't have anything nice to say about Dubya no matter what he did. But the even lower 11% support for the DemCong(ress) - as reported by the same lefty media is also remarkable.

Thats right, patriots, deny - deny. Maybe Fox 'News' was too busy covering the Natalee Holloway Update or informing you brave citizens about the daily threat level, but there was this yesterday:

Congratulations on your latest 'victory'.

I believe Paulsen announced on the Smothers Brothers' show -- CBS, not NBC.

JJ: Stephen Colbert is a semi-talented personality who had a recurring parody role as a "conservative" foil to Jon Stewart's more liberal bias on the "Daily Show with Jon Stewart".
The Comedy Network give Colbert a spinoff series of his own some years ago.

"--- Is it just me, or does chris post a new number for his "percentages" every time he decides it's a good time to click the "Post" button? ---"
I think "chrisBoobsStamford" has a "percentage randomizer" on his post button... that is in no way actually connected to President' Bush's approval rating.
Interestingly enough, if he DROPS the percentage any further, it might actually reflect the public's approval rating of the Dem Cong(ress).

Is it just me, or does chris post a new number for his "percentages" every time he decides it's a good time to click the "Post" button?
Me, I like him well enough, but his shtick is starting to wear a little thin.

Haha. As 24%ers, I suppose no one could expect you cons to think Colbert is funny. To a sizeable segment of the 76%, he is.

"Colbert's talented, if far too derivative for my tastes"
...are there any other notable fake-pundit acts?

Who is Stephen Colbert?

*Yawn*.
I don't know what people find in this dude. He is categorically un-funny.
