You know what you should do, Dan? You should cry about it.

Re-think this Dan. I have and I think I'm going for the hildabeast. Like the guy who's willing to pay 50% taxes in return for health care and a "free" education! Imagine..turning all your responsibility over to big brother. In 06 the average US income was 55k a year. Give up half and 27,500 would be fine to live off of. I mean that's a whole lot cheaper than four years of college or working a job that pays 74% of your health insurance. And the five weeks paid vacation as soon as you begin working your new job. Of course since we would be taxing "the rich" (whoever they are) the median income would probably drop and there goes the used Geo payment. It's going to be Utopia man!

I dunno, Willie.

I have a feeling that free health care, etc, would phase out at certain income levels.

Just like the child tax credit, the credits for buying solar, for college tuition, for buying a hybrid, and all the other so-called credits that those of us who pay the most taxes don't qualify for.

We don't even get to deduct our real estate taxes anymore. The AMT cancels the deduction right back out.

My guess is the people paying all the taxes now and still gonna be the ones paying taxes in the future - only more of them. And they aren't gonna get any of these promised perks. Cuz the perks aren't for the "rich", dontchaknow.

Oh but DB, I would fudge this and that. Create a mostly cash biz and make sure my income was appropriate to be a good proliterate. Remember, no responsibilty, no absolutes, no religion so lying would be no problem.

Willie,

Good plan! Count me in, too! But if we all stop working and being productive, job-providing, tax-paying members of society..... who is gonna fund all of our perks?

Just wonderin' :)

DB; That's the beauty of it all. The kids who are getting the "free" college education will support us. They wont know how to fix thier used cars or hang kitchen cabinets or even mow thier lawns. We do it for cash, which they'll have plenty of, and only report 1/2 our earnings to the welfare folks. See, we get a check AND food stamps.

I'm pretty sure that we will even qualify for "aid" and be able to keep our assets, like real estate

Think about this: civil wars have begun over less than what the Open Left fool is proposing. His first, and biggest, mistake is actually thinking that a very large percentage--perhaps a majority--of Americans are just going to meekly roll over and accept thralldom if Her Clintonian Majesty is elected next year.

I was just stuck in traffic for 2 hours and had the pleasure of listening to Mark Levin on this very subject.

The only thing I found disturbing was forcing all to live near a walmart. But then, isn't wally world the devil? Surely they will socialize wally world, kinda like a big ole company store. I'll have to draw the line at queing up for toilet paper rations. Otherwise it should be fun to live like the average Cuban.

"this very subject"

Yep, as always, he was kind enough to mention the post.

Hmm. Our nation's GINI index and general divisions of income (impoverished/working poor/middle class/upper class/wealthy elite) looks like it would become a two-class system under the Moonbatopia:

a) Dirt-farming serfs or urban indentured serfs working for the communal store
b) Filthy rich uber elites (like George Soros) living off the labours and blood of people in Category (a).

I see the USA ending in a massive, bloody civil war, and some very nasty totalitarian construct probably arising out of the mess that remains, if the Dhimmicrats really go flat out with this kind of plan.

We might consider getting rid of our overseas possessions. Then we wouldn't care how they vote. These places came from war with Spain and an outright coup in Hawaii.

I have no quarrel with those acquistions as policy; most strong nations operated in similar ways at the time. And unless I have forgotten my former lives, I didn't do it anyway.

Every time a leftard opens his yap, it reinforces my decision to buy another gun and a thousand rounds.....

I think SDN very much has the right idea. Better buy 2,000 rounds though, or more... because if these idiotarians have their way, a whole lot of excrement will hit the cooling unit.

Them guys over at open left are not only certifiably insane, but _dangerously_ insane.

The thread trend of comments thus far has them thinking of lowering the voting age to 16, granting the franchise to DC and the various colonial possesssions, and making life in the suburbs and the countryside untenable so that we are all forced to move into squalid little government owned flats in the cities to become renters (i.e. serfs tied to the city-land, fed at Big Momma Gubmint's teats)...

...that way, we all get our "eyes opened" and made into Democratically correct robots who will accept living in a wicked "humanist"

Babylon were all of the very worst of Democrat policies are followed, to the point of us dhimmi-slaves having finally lost our last freedoms.

Scratch a Democrat, and you'll find a tyrant.

"Every time a leftard opens his yap, it reinforces my decision to buy another gun and a thousand rounds....."

Rednecks is funny. Unfortunately, they are also diseased.

http://www.charlotte.com/112/story/315764.html

Yeah, those rednecks sure is diseased, but those illegal aliens who are harboring tuberculosis are fine and dandy. I think you should volunteer to live with and take care of illegal aliens who have TB and are here getting free treatment at the taxpayer's expense, Boob. Then I would know you were a true progressive, rather than a hypocritical, filthy scumbag claiming to be a progressive.

illegal aliens who are harboring tuberculosis

Funny you should mention that:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,276336,00.html

TB patients have nothing to fear, the ACLU will protect them.

http://www.thedenverchannel.com/health/14300631/detail.html

"The American Civil Liberties Union filed a lawsuit this past summer claiming Daniels' rights had been violated while in the hospital jail ward because he was being treated like a criminal. He had been on lockdown without visitors, exercise or a view of the outside world."

"Funny you should mention that:"

Wow Xan, wow once again you're totally correct. One rich white guy slips through the cracks and we're worried about hundreds?, thousands? millions? of untracked illegal aliens from every country in the world possibly dragging god knows what into the country. Geeze, you're so right we really are small minded. Let me apologize for my country, really, we to mean to be so mean. If it makes you feel better I will personally pay for an "undocumented" family of 12-20 to move into your backyard. No, not your nieghborhood or even next door. I mean movre your trash can and grill.

BtW the guy turned out to be not near teh danger he was feared to be.

Wahoo

Andrew Speaker, the infamous TB traveler, is a personal-injury lawyer.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/06/06/AR2007060600303.html

LaLa: Yeah I know the story and I thought he should be locked up as he (and no one else) has the right to endanger other people. Funny, people get more upset about some fool smoking in Denny's than a TB patient flying with them.

The netroots are ultimately lead by a string by their puppet master George Soros. You have shown a few areas where this Soros vision is scary, however I believe it is scariest in the area of the GWOT. Please note that Hillary just changed her mind about negotiating, without conditions, with the sociopathic regime of the Iranians. This is the exact same idea that is expoused by puppet master himself, George Soros. Here is how I broke down his vision.
