Halsey Frost: Come On Down
I mean, the poor guy desrves a break at the hands of tax payers, many with fewer advantages and less in assets than him, right? I almost felt bad for how hard I was on him yesterday
The man - maybe I should start using the term loosely - appears to have no shame. He either can't read, or has ignored many named individuals who have raised questions regarding why he doesn't mind pimping out his kid, and seems to not have felt compelled to pursue a path that would have supported his kids adequately, particularly as regards their health care.
- until I saw this. So, come on down, Halsey - let's make a deal. No doubt in your view the tax payers, many of them, as I said, with fewer advantages and less in assets, should pony up some more cash to get you a fourth vehicle. You have no shame.
Halsey, an incredibly disorganized lovable goofball, just can’t seem to hold down a proper job or, when he’s tried, to run a proper company. He’s a millwork carpenter and does great work installing custom interior and exterior trimwork and cabinetry. He should be making great money but can’t get out of his way…
…Still, we make choices, right? They have three vehicles - a nice new volvo SUV, a Suburban, and his F250 Ford Pickup work truck, a nice house, and all four kids go to private school. Not sure where the money comes from, but they don’t make all that much. Should they be the poster child for S-CHIP? Heck no….

"I've read all of these comments and I have not seen one Republican say that the Frost children should be taken off the health care program."
Okay. So the program was successful and the kids deserved the help.
Sounds like a government program performing flawlessly.
Whither the fireswarm?

"Tell me how he has suffered. He was covered by the program."
Yes, I know. But the ENTIRE POINT of the right-wing smear against his family is that he should NOT have been covered. He shouldn't be able to walk today. He didn't deserve health insurance because his parents were millionaires raking in $45k a year. Etc, etc.
"Choices have consequences." And sometimes the consequences for parents' bad choices are that their kids never get to walk again.
Fair is fair. Ayn Rand would agree. Why don't you?

Uh, Mr. Glover, I realize you are operating at a severe disadvantage, but let me make it simple for you. If you accuse someone of using smear tactics, you ought not be guilty of the same thing yourself. Did that clear it up for you, dummy?

scarshapedscar,
Tell me how he has suffered. He was covered by the program. And, as usual, you miss the point. Which is:
1. It is shameful for Democrats to put a child in front of the public in order to beg for something. Shameful.
2. People in the position of the Frosts should not be allowed to wallow in the public trough. Poor people who cannot provide for their children are taken care of by the public, but middle-class people with substancial assets should have to use those assets before the public should be forced to subsidize them.
"Why should I be forced to give my hard-earned money to people who are better off financially than I am?"
I want one of you liberals to answer that question. Answer it, please.

Remember, little Graeme, your parents are fuck-ups and so YOU MUST SUFFER.
Ah, compassionate conservatism!

"...the least we could have done would have been to make up some fake memos about Mr. Frost's work habits, have a mysterious, unknown lady deliver them to CBS News, publish them as the truth, but then forget that Microsoft Word didn't exist at the time of Mr. Frost's first job. Then we could have been in the same league as our Leftist friends. Does being a hypocrite and liar not ever embarrass a liberal? Ever?"
In related news, Walter Sobchak didn't leave his buddies face-down in the muck in 'Nam so somebody could do something that somehow makes Dan Rather at all relevant to anything.....

"...An unattributed, unsolicited email from a Frost neighbor? Really? You're going to continue to smear your political opponents with this type of unverified, utterly suspicious gossip?"
Yeah, Slim Tyranny, the least we could have done would have been to make up some fake memos about Mr. Ever?

"An unattributed, unsolicited email from a Frost neighbor? Really?"
It's a pretty safe bet that email was consistent with Michelle's own eyewitness observations and that Michelle likely verified it before posting... but she didn't go into details since you honorable liberals would just smear her again as "stalking" like you did before.

God you people are sick.
An unattributed, unsolicited email from a Frost neighbor? Really? You're going to continue to smear your political opponents with this type of unverified, utterly suspicious gossip?
Seriously, what is wrong with you people?

Let's not forget from the Krugman column of yesterday...that his business failed in 1999...now we know for the last 8 years he's been working intemittently... I'm sorry, for this family, and I have no problems in helping the children out now...but I do have problems helping these two college educated idiots that are 40 years old. Something else - I'm not a good carpenter, though I have played at it over the years and I know damn well that I could manufacture trim for restoring old houses and reworking wood floors if I wished to do so and make money at it(did it for my own house - 1928 bugalow). Now Baltimore had a lot of old houses that were being renovated the last 15 years..yet this guy failed. Either he did not want to work...or ?????

"the photos are of show room models"
Actually, they'd have preferred Michelle go to the house and take pics of the actual vehicles - that way they could accuse her of "stalking." All these protests are just the Left's way of putting their fingers in their ears like children. They can't handle the truth, so they devise eve3ry means they can think of to avoid it - it's instinctive for the morons. Don't blame them, they just can't "halp" themselves.

"misrepresents that at least two of them are NOT new vehicles"
So coming right out in the first sentence saying that the photos are of show room models is somehow dishonest?

The Leftist Democrats wanted us to embrace the Frosts as the discussion point for S-CHIP expansion. I fail to understand the outrage at the Right's doing precisely what they wanted? We're only trying to "halp" you.

Blondie, this goes back to what I ws saying last night about the Leftopia our friends want for us. Imagine, guilt free driving (apparently without C&C insurance) of SUVs! Big houses like Edwards, flights anywhere in the world (as long as they're going there anyway) and all we have to do is agree with them
Posted by: Wahoo Willie Sez | Friday, October 12, 2007 at 01:58 PM
Since she's claiming to be one, would you say it's really journalistically honest of Michelle Malkin to post brand-new showroom pictures of these vehicles?
You know, she's an ethical journalist that uses an anonymous email source but then, according to that very same anonymous email Michelle is citing, misrepresents that at least two of them are NOT new vehicles?
What a load of phony right-wing propaganda. If you really think that people must be destitute and homeless in order to get assistance, say it. Stop trying to smear a family that legally qualified for the program by lying about them.

What a great laugh this is. Frost owns about 150,000 dollars worth of low mileage, carbon footprint, ozone destroying vehicles. Amazingly, if the ELFs set them on fire in his front yard. Our leftist friends would be defending the tree huggers, saying his rich, tree hating ass deserved it.

Dan, you're a better person than I. I never felt bad about giving the guy a hard time.

Now, now Chris, thats a Mr. sack-o-crap that you lost to twice, show some respect.

"Halsey, an incredibly disorganized lovable goofball, just can’t seem to hold down a proper job or, when he’s tried, to run a proper company."
He sounds like that stuttering sack-o-crap that you mouth-breathers voted for (twice).
