Does The Military Read The Huffington Post?

This is rather strange. Retired General Wesley the Mad Bomber of Bosnia Clark is calling for Rush Limbaugh to be removed from Armed Forces Radio via The Huffington Post. I didn't realize so many of our service men and women read HuffPo.

It's time to put real pressure on Rush Limbaugh. His show is broadcast on Armed Forces Radio, and this time we are going to go straight to the lifeblood of Rush's show -- Congress. Congress has the power to remove Rush Limbaugh from Armed Forces Radio, and it won't be as easy for elected officials to ignore our call.

The lifeblood of Limbaugh's show, on AFN and off, is not Congress, General - it's the men and women who enjoy tuning in. Why don't you try to remember where they read, or listen next time and try to reach them there. Let's see what they think about your not so grand idea. Or do you have a problem with democratic tradition in this regard? Let them vote - a show by you, or Limbaugh's program. It won't be the first time you were humiliated when people had a say in the matter.

Im guessing that they missed this, because I am not seeing how San Franciso has a leg to stand on in condemning Savage. Keep in mind that Sandoval doesnt think that the U.S. should have a military, and this just speaks for itself: COLME... [Read More]

Still, condemnation is one thing, removing from the air is another. While I'm surprised Blind Harry didn't call for Rush's removal, he has Wesley Clark to do that, calling at that Armed Services fave, "The Huff Post," for Limbaugh to be pulled from Arm... [Read More]

Military Times polls show our servicemen and women want out of Iraq as badly as the rest of America. Having the draft dodger Limbaugh on AFR demeans them and lowers morale.

so let them vote, what are you afraid of?

Dan, I'm sure they'd prefer Randi Rhodes! NOT!

Sadly, I've been banned from Crooks & Liars although I never posted an obscenity or did anything but CLEAN THEIR FILTHY CLOCKS EVERY TIME I soiled myself entering their septic precincts!

Military Times polls saying they want out of Iraq is not the same thing as saying they want to wave the white surrender flag the Democrats forced us to do in Vietnam by cutting off funding.

Oops, seems Obey and the House-boys are trying to do it again.

Yeah, make this the 56th time they tried! Punks.

"Military Times polls show our servicemen and women want out of Iraq as badly as the rest of America."

Doh. Every soldier since the beginning of time would rather not be shot at.

Clark is just angling for a nice appointment when we have a Democrat in the White House. He got nowhere trying to become President or VP himself - he has magnificent blow-dried hair but Edwards owns the salon vote.

But Wes still dreams that Sec. of Defense or State would be neato.

That's because they are McCarthite censorship pimps and have no decency.

Incidentally, they troops requested Rush on their radio I thought, why do Democrats hate the troops so much they want to deprive them of that request?

"Incidentally, they troops requested Rush on their radio I thought, why do Democrats hate the troops so much they want to deprive them of that request?"

The real question is why they tried to keep thier absentee votes from being counted in 2004.

Oh, they will continue. At this rate I would not be the least bit surprised if they pushed to restrict the military from voting period.

I'd say let AFN poll its listeners - would they rather see/hear Air America and their flagship personallity Ed Schultz spew his socialist propaganda, or the timeless wisdom of Rush and his Excellence in Broadcasting team?

Or put both shows out there and do a test to determine the listenership pf both programmes.

From the Military Times. Note date of post:

Date of pose Dec 29, 2006

The American military — once a staunch supporter of President Bush and the Iraq war — has grown in creasingly pessimistic about chances for victory.

For the first time, more troops disapprove of the president’s han dling of the war than approve of it. Barely one-third of service members approve of the way the president is handling the war, ac cording to the 2006 Military Times Poll.

When the military was feeling most optimistic about the war — in 2004 — 83 percent of poll re spondents thought success in Iraq was likely. This year, that number has shrunk to 50 percent.

Soooooo, 50 % of respondents never were posted in Iraq. Great poll.

The responses were to the Question, "How many times have you been posted in Iraq?

markg8, your poll is so old it has social security. And half the respondents were never in Iraq. Thanks for this fine turd you have presented to us to show...to prove...what?

Sorry for the technical glitches.

Hey, if you're lookin' for a "political general" you won't find a finer, more disgusting example than Weasley Clark, the modern McClellan.
