Do the crime, get on Prime Time at the BET Awards - guess that isn't exactly a surprise. It's a shame that Black entertainment culture seems intent on running the race into the ground by celebrating criminality, thuggism and worse.
Jena 6 felons Bryant Purvis and Carwin Jones give out "video of the year" honors at the BET Hip Hop Awards! Sweet!!

Bill Cosby won't be happy about this.

It's all because of the noose, Dan. If only that noose hadn't been hung from that tree, none of this would have happened. It is the first time I have ever heard of a bunch of black people beating the hell out of an innocent, white guy who just happened to be in the wrong place. The fact that the culprits who put the noose up had already been punished has nothing to do with it. Come on, you know a noose gives blacks the right to kill, assault, and batter any white that just happens to get in their way.
And now CNN is getting into the noose business, and wants to help justify who knows how many other assaults on whites who haven't done a damn thing to these people. Yep, bring us a little more of the jungle, because apprently some in the black community long for the old country, where beatings, rapes, genocide and slaughter are the rule of the day. And its an oh, so nice, place to be.

The unfortunate thing about this - and what neither the Negro community nor CNN or their race-baiting masters ala the Democrat Party, Sharpton, Farrakhan, and Jackson et. al do not realize, is the potential for backlash against them that could ignite a race war that will make the Watts Riots (and other race riots that rolled over the USA in the late 60's/70's) look like a walk in the park.
It will be an ugly civil war, and I can't say that the Negroes will come out on top - especially when they seem to enjoy fighting and destroying their own as much as the white man.
It will be an evil, vengeful mindset that reap the bitter harvest of such ill-conceived policies as race quotas and affirmative action and other attempts to play the dhimmi to reparation for sins committed long ages ago. Expect that there will be much ethnic cleansing on both sides, but especially among the Negroes.

I still don't understand why Republicans don't have a larger black constituency. I mean, how is handing out an 80-year sentence for attempted murder in response to a school-yard brawl NOT fair? It's the only way to keep black teenagers in line. The African American community just needs to recognize the fact that death threats from white people are to be treated with kid gloves, but big scary 18-year-old black kids need to be incarcerated for life if they dare lay a finger on good pure blooded red neck Americans.
The Republican Big Tent has more than enough room for black people. There's plenty of space in the back.

This wasn't the guy's first run in with the law. At some time, your deeds have to catch up with you...but you know that don't you?
But my comment....making celebrities outta these criminals is wrong on so many levels.

I thought that one on one was a brawl.....six on one was an assualt.

One on one is a fight.
Six on six or more is a brawl.
Six on one is an assault.
Too much more than that, and there's the seeds for massive civil unrest.

I look forward to a "race war". I am more than willing to engage in ethnic cleansing and genocide. Kennedy and his ilk started it in 65. I will finish it.

Personally, I don't much care for race wars. Wars in general tend to be bad for one's health. I may have spoken out of a bit of despair over how racial discord is striking new blows each day against the fabric of the Republic.
There is much, too much radicalizing of the people on account of race relations. When I say that there is much potential for a race war, I think that it is due to the culture of "political correctness" that has tried to force multiple disparate cultures into one mold has been a failure - if not in whole, then certainly in part.
That is to say, the goal of PC culture was never assimilation into the common American culture, but mostly one of concessions and guilting of one race, while weakening and hobbling the other: one may wonder if there was not a sinister design behind this failure.
This failure of the past 50 years of race relations - rests on the shoulders of both blacks and whites.
For whites, it is this program of guilt and dhimmification of trying to undo a century of racial inequities and injustices piled on top of the previous two centuries of slavery.
Sorry, folks... but that simply cannot be rolled back; moreover, political opportunists such as Farrakhan, Sharpton, and Jackson and others like them who care not a whit for the advancement of their race but only for their bank accounts... scum like these will take every inch and mile given to them to drive wedges of division in order to perpetuate this imbalance between the races.
We really need to stop catering to this mentality; it does our race no good, as it prevents us from engaging in meaningful dialogue to start building beyond this idiotic paradigm of black vs. white.
Blacks need to shrug off the weight of the cultural slavery that they have by way of institutionalized underachievement, glorification of thuggery, self-destructive behaviour and perpetual playing up the victim card, as well as its attendant sense of undeserved entitlement (stuff like race quotas, affirmative action, reparations, etc).
This sort of thing is not limited just to blacks, but the overwhelming preponderance of it has shackled the black race in a far more treacherous way than any overseer or slaver ever did.
Let every man pull his or her own weight. Black men (and women) - you can start now to set the example for your brethren by fighting to improve yourself, and not fighting "the system", or fighting each other.
It might be hard for you (Blacks) to set aside cultural grievances from centuries ago, but it is unreasonable to hold each and every white man accountable for it. I'm sorry, but I am not accountable for anything my grandparents or their grandparents have done. It may have been unjust, but it is in the past. As for me, by God's grace, I'll do my best to deal squarely with you, and then some.
White men (and women) - be color blind, but do not be afraid to hold people to the same high standards of excellence you would expect of yourself. Moreover, lead by example: do unto others as you would have them do unto you, as the Good Lord said.
Most of all - while we can do our best to accept one another and look at the person underneath the skin colour... no lasting and deeper change comes except if a person is born again in Christ.
Without Christ... it is all too easy to let racial hatreds get out of control.
