Another Dumb And Dumber Moment For The Left
The Left just can't help itself, I think they are hard wired to make poor judgments and political mistakes in and around the military. Trying to get Limbaugh thrown off of the Armed Forces Network is the dumber part of the equation, coming after their embracing the General Betray Us ad. The effort will only result in all too many military voices denouncing the liberal move.
Only an opposition like the Left stands between Republicans and defeat next year. With enemies like Liberals, you don't need friends, just a sense of humor while watching their every move.
Michelle has the full rundown here.

I believe that AFN got Rush's show due to popular demand for it. But Rush hates the troops and, besides, who cares what the killbots think anyway?

Obviously, one of the "dumber" is trolling here, if the comment above is any indication.

"With enemies like Liberals, you don't need friends."
Great minds think alike. On September 16th, 2007 at 2:53 am I wrote on Don Surber's blog
"I looked at the Republican presidential hopefuls and felt doubt."
"Then I read Gregory Koster’s post. Add MoveOn.org’s ad, the NYTimes sellout, Sandy Burger for Hilary, and the claim that Condi Rice is a lesbian."
"With enemies like these, who needs friends?"
"If the Democratic presidential campaign in 2004 was the movie Ishtar, the 2008 Democratic campaign will be Ishtar II: Too Proud to Win."

Um, the comment is sarcasm.
Notice, the people trying to get Rush off of AFN aren't asking the soldiers if they want Rush gone, they are saying THEY want Rush gone.

"With enemies like Liberals, you don't need friends",and with Friends like The GOP Establishment, you don't need enemies.
"Only an opposition like the Left stands between Republicans and defeat next year."
Never (mis)underestimate the stupidity of the GOP,witness Mehlman's "bash the base" stratagy in'06.
Such a briliiant success for the Dem's the GOP decided to to keep it right thru '07.

I have an idea: Let's let the guys and gals in Iraq vote on the issue:
[ ] Harry and no Rush
[ ] Rush and no Harry

Vester, I *think* Techie's comment was purposeful sarcasm.

I wish a Senator had asked Harry to clarify his petition.
"If one signs it in opposition to Rush, does that mean they support the actions of Jesse McBeth?"

"The effort will only result in all too many military voices denouncing the liberal move."
The same voices (90%) that think that we're in Iraq b/c of Saddam's role in 9/11?

Not something to lose sleep over.

chris, if I understand you correctly, you are putting a lot of weight into the idea that too many people think Saddam was directly involved in 9/11, thus invalidating much or all of the whole enterprize. Polls about what people think fail to capture the fox they are after. People believe contradictory things, depending on what they think is being asked underneath the question and how they think it appears to others. Single questions fail to capture this.
Saddam was not directly involved in 9/11, but some Americans mistakenly think he was. You can puff yourself up for your fine wisdom about not believing that, but miss larger issues. Mussolini wasn't involved in the bombing of Pearl Harbor either.

Has anyone ever noticed that the only troops chris and his ilk support are the ones who:
1. Oppose the war(various, but Murtha is an example)
2. Lie about their experiences in the war(Scott Beauchamp)
3. Claim to be in the military, but aren't, and never have been(Jesse MacBeth)
Now, it seems to me that the hypocrites on the Left who claim to support the troops are damned liars.

The main reason that "90% of Americans think that Saddam was involved in 9/11" is because he was definitely involved in WTC 1 in 1993. And, of course, money being fungible and all (isn't that what libs say when touting Campaign Finance Reform), the millions he spread into terrorist pockets (PLO, Hamas, Hezbollah, etc.) all thru the 90s didn't hurt when it came to blowing up embassies, or the Cole bombing, etc.
If libs spent more time reading actual history and less time rewriting it.... they wouldn't be libs.

Although I fully support the First Amendment and the right to free speech, Rush Limbaugh should be arrested and tried for treason for his remarks about our soldiers. Furthermore, he should never be allowed to speak on the public airwaves again because he does nothing more than spew racism, sexism, jingoism, and fascism every single day while spreading lies about global warming, which is a proven, undisputable fact.
The funny thing is that the leftist dopes who just read the above were nodding their heads in agreement until this sentence.
