The Ahmadinejad Factor In America: There Are No Marines In San Fran

Yesterday Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad claimed there were no homosexuals in Iran.

Evidently Nancy Pelosi's San Francisco claims something similar when it comes to Marines. Too bad some San Fran pols can't appreciate the very people who so valiantly stand between them and a tyrant like Ahmadinejad, who'd simply hang members of the city's high profile gay community if he had his way. Can we question their patriotism now?

SAN FRANCISCO, Sep. 24, 2007 (KGO) - New York said "yes," but we said "no." Why were the U.S. Marines denied permission to film a recruiting commercial on the streets of San Francisco?

San Francisco is, once again, the center of a controversy over how city leaders treat the U.S. military. This time, it involves an elite group of Marines who wanted to film a recruitment commercial in San Francisco on the anniversary of 9/11.

The tension has been building in the two weeks since the city turned away

50 years ago almost to the day, President Eisenhower sent 101st Airborne Division troops into Little Rock, Ark, to ensure white mobs would not be allowed to infringe the civil rights of African-Americans. A few members of the mob were bayoneted; none were killed.

Why should our current President not do the same for the U.S. Marines? Don't those whose service allows Frisco (they hate that name) to be the free, though wacky and intolerant, nuthouse it is to exist have the rights to use it streets in an orderly fashion?

I also don't remember Eisenhower outing CIA operatives over a political tiff or putting wiretaps on American citizens without even getting a warrant. authority to conduct mandatory search and seizure of passengers at airports in violation of the 5thAm, a manifestation of "liberal" legislation;

authority to conduct mandatory search of drivers and passengers for seat belt compliance, a manifestation of yadda;

authority to conduct data-mining of all citizens' financial and other tax records on the premise of finding child support scofflaws -- child support, which is a civil legal action and not criminal or "national security", and is a manifestation of, you guessed it...

authority to wiretap union bosses and suspected organized crime connections, not by legislation or court allowance, but by executive directive, and manifested largely under JFK and LBJ.

I'll stop there, since I wouldn't want to overwhelm you.

Now, let's put those up against the following:

the authority to wiretap extranational phone calls coming into the US from terrorist strongholds, such as NW Pakistan and Paris France, by executive direction;

the authority to datamine phone records for those making calls to, or taking calls from, the aforementioned;

the authority to datamine library lending habits;

the authority to extend the aforementioned warrantless search/seizure at the airport by including shoes, nail clippers and baby bottles...

If you're going to wet your panties over library datamining and running your shoes through the magnetometer, I'll join you; but if you're going to claim that it's a one-sided, uni-natured totalitarianism, then, sorry, you're just going to have to turn your brains in at the door since you are obviously not using them for anything.
