You know that significant terror bust in Germany today? It only serves to prove the futility of Bushitler and his band of Christianists waging that silly war in Iraq ... in case you were wondering.
Congrats to the Germans. Some obvious points: these men are educated, two of three are German nationals, all seem to have been trained not in Iraq, Iran or Afghanistan, but in Pakistan, a putative ally. It is hard to see how the Iraq war - whether a failure or a success - would have any impact on this tiny cell's attempt at mass murder in the name of God. This is simply the religious violence we have to contend with for the indefinite future. All we can do is what the Germans did: keep up surveillance (with protections against abuse), and run as many to ground as we can.
Methinks somewhere a GSG 9 operative is waterboarding one the the arrested cretins as we speak to get more information. Just not in St. Andrew's name.

Gee golly, I hope the tortured guy gives up as much useful information as all those Gitmo prisoners. Look at all the useful intel the US has obtained from their "extreme exotic conversation techniques" like... Valerie Plame works for the CIA. And eight guys in Florida are going to kung-fu the Sears tower with their bibles.
Yeah, I totally bet those Germans are jumping right on the US piss-ourselves-in-terror bandwagon. Now stop tapping your foot, take your hand back from under the stall, and try not to look too happy, Dan. I know the idea of punishing young German men really works you into a bother.

I wonder where the line between 'abuse' and 'failure to do the job' come in?
If someone bad happens, it seems like someone failed to do their job.
When should someone cry abuse?

Islamic terrorists in Germany, that's never happened be. . .except for Munich 1972, Frankfurt? again 1988, Hamburg 2000, The fact that major German political figures have actually spread the trutherism of 9/11; one recent commentator calling them plane crashes & accidents.

Oh no you don't, Sullivan. The one thing we must never do, no matter what it takes, is to give in to the idea that we should just accept that every once in a while a terrorist who hasn't been caught ahead of time will blow up a school bus or restaurant. There is no way we should ever accept that as our plan for the future, what it seems the rest of the world requires the Israelis to do.
What we need to do is stay on the offensive and make someone pay a heavy price for every incident. The Taliban and Saddam are a good start.

Some of you may not know this but Islamollama is not just another AH writing some really embarrassingly stupid, ignorant, and illogical s--t under the comments section of a blog.
Oh no. He has more talent than merely making up moronic screen names for himself. He has published song lyrics and poems under his real name, Sam "Snotnose" Schmendrake. This list is not all-inclusive but it will give you an idea. Some of these are song titles and some are the first lines of his better known poems. Perhaps you will recognize some of them:
He wrote: If Wishes Were Kisses, Where Does That Leave Me; I don't Speak Latin But Can I Mambo; My Sweaty Balloon Head Rises Like the Moon Over the Blue Ridge; If I were President I Bet I Could Get Some; First You Get the Money, Then You Get the Power (co-written with Oliver Stone); I Love the Smell of Rubber Gloves and Astroglide in the Morning; Bigot Is As Bigot Does; Ali Left Me with the Blues Blues; and Summertime, All Three Weeks of It in Stamford.

Oooops. My bad.
Offensive and Defensive work together, hand in hand. A sharp sword for the right hand, a sturdy shield on the left. Heck, a good fighter can even use his shield offensively (shield bash).
And we should profile heavily against the Muslims, especially those who come here on student visas or short term visas. Saudi Oil be accursed, but we really do need to stop giving their citizens and their religious functionaries (imams and fund raisers) a free pass into this country. Same goes with our other would-be Arab "allies", but especially the Saudis since so much of Wahabbism and Salafism comes from that region.
And if that makes me an evil person for looking in the obvious direction trouble tends to come from, I'll state for the record that I have no regrets what we did to the Japanese-Americans in California in WW2 (the Canucks treated their resident Japanese worse than we did ours, actually), nor do I regret our treatment and monitoring of German-American organizations during either World War (blacklisting of folks belonging to the Deutscher Bund and other German-Am. groups).
And I say this as a German-American who is married to a Japanese citizen. The needs and the defense of faithful, patriotic American citizens should come ahead of those of immigrants, residents, and itinerant engineering students who seem to like driving around the country with trunk loads of high explosives. I'm not saying, just saying, ya know?

Seek, are you saying the government ought to protect its own citizens before offering protection to non-citizens, that the government should protect its borders, keep records on the entry and exit of non-citizens, and actually enforce EXISTING LAW. Are you kidding me?
