Hillary Jumps Dumb On Iraq
Maybe not completely dumb for her, given the need to pander to the Netroots. But this just out via DailyKos - at Talk Left: isn't there a report she's leaving out? One we haven't heard, yet from a General, or something like that? She's throwing the long ball while everyone else is scrambling to block Petraeus - classic, just not real classy.
This just in, via Daily Kos, Hillary's new statement on Iraq.
As General Petraeus prepares to testify before Congress next week, it is clear that the increase in U.S. troops in Iraq has simply not led to political reconciliation in Iraq. Rather than continuing the escalation, we must begin the immediate redeployment of U.S. troops out of Iraq, in order to end this war as soon as possible.
The President continues to reject the findings of the National Intelligence Estimate, the Government Accountability Office report and the Jones Commission report, refuses to work with Congress to develop a strategy that will enable our troops to start coming home, and stubbornly denies the reality on the ground and the will of the American people.

Ah yes, Hillary: classy and triangulating to the very end. Correct me if I'm wrong but, as I seem to recall, Her Majesty's royal vote to confirm General Petraeus, on Friday, 26 January 2007, was "Aye."
Hillary's sorry excuse for a statement above consists of 112 words: in my book, that's another 112 reasons why she must never be elected President of the United States.

I wonder why Hill completely accepts the "Jones Report" but completely ignores the reports of a host of Congresspersons and others who have gone to Iraq and come back with positive reports? Not only that, she has ignored the Beloit reports that frequently appear here.

Methinks she, being the good little Leftist she is, believes that political reconciliation/progress can ONLY come from the top down ... and not from the bottom up, as is happening now.

If the anti-victory contingent could spin any faster, they'd qualify for a Pratt & Whitney nameplate.

Please, let us hope that in the near future we can all elect those that put the security of our nation and the well being of our deployed troops ahead of their personal bias and political agendas.
