I had occasion to watch what seemed to be one of, if not the most ridiculous gun / news story I've ever seen tonight courtesy of Fox 29 in Philadelphia. Fortunately there's a video link. Now what's wrong with this picture?
If you have a license to carry a gun in Pennsylvania, you can also carry it in 14 other states. And residents in those states can carry here. It's called a firearm reciprocity agreement. But Philadelphia police are raising the "red flag" about the agreement Pennsylvania has with Florida. Jeff Cole reports for FOX 29 Undercover.
Here's what's wrong, imagine you're an up and coming Gang Banger in Philly, a city where murder is already out of control. So, what do you do? Well, you drive to Florida to get finger printed, photographed and take a gun safety course so you can pack heat back in the hood! Oh, yeah, I bet that happens every day.
Give me a freaking break. The entire report is a joke. And apparently while this Fox News is busy pandering to conservatives, clearly that isn't the case across the board, as affiliates are churning out the same liberal drivel as the big three, only less polished looking, frankly.

The key word is residents. A person living in Phily cannot get a CCL in Florida or any one of the other 13 states due to residency. A joke but a bad one.

"(4) These states will honor the Florida concealed weapon license ONLY IF the licensee is a resident of the State of Florida."

Gang members don't need a license to carry a weapon. Law's won't stop them from killing, neither will gun control. A young friend of mine had a brother killed execution style this weekend, final shot was to his head. Nineteen years old and dead. Killed by a gang.
I sure as hell don't have an answer, but gun control and law's won't stop them.

That reciprocity agreement is valid in about 27 States now. Essentially, one can get a CCW in one State and it is valid in the 26 other States. To purchase a handgun from a gunstore requires a DOJ clearance, the same with aquiring a CCW. Also, the Feds have initiated a law that forbids one person legally purchasing a weapon for a third person. I think it's called the "Strawman law". For what it's worth, one cannot purchase more than one handgun in the same 30 day period;that is also a Federal law. Believe me, if one is on the DOJ shit list, the gun store is notified quickly and the sale cannot go through. Also,if one tries to purchase more than one handgun in the same 30 day period, the DOJ contacts the gun store and that purchase is cancelled. And so on. Best to check with your local CCW issuing agency to determine your authority to buy a gun and/or get a CCW.

The obvious solution that the gun control nazis keep overlooking is:
Banning and controlling the distribution of gunpowder and bullets only to LEOs.
Totally constitutional, too: you could own as many arms - be they guns, morningstar maces, machetes, samurai swords, or butterfly knives.
No bullets, no bang-bangs... unless you know how to manufacture and work w/ blackpowder weapons and such.
I'm just waiting for the Dhimmicrats to let that other shoe drop. :(
