Distasteful And Unacceptable
I just viewed this video via Michelle Malkin of failed sportscaster Keith Olberman naming her Worst Person of the Week and pushing a quote by Geraldo Rivera in doing it:
“Michelle Malkin is the most vile, hateful commentator I’ve ever met in my life,” he says. “She actually believes that neighbors should start snitching out neighbors, and we should be deporting people.
“It’s good she’s in D.C. and I’m in New York,” Rivera sneers. “I’d spit on her if I saw her.”
Now it appears Michelle has had a small ad buy which served to call attention to the quote banned by Quigo. So, Rivera's ugliness is okay for broadcast on MSNBC in another sad attempt to further demean the target in this, but it's not okay to point a finger at Rivera with his own words?
Sadly, there's a common thread that joins Olberman and Rivera if you've observed them over time - misogyny. See this on Olberman, scroll down - and Rivera's lack of respect for women and his faux macho crap going all the way back to touting his sexual conquests in a book is well known.
That these two alleged men can get away with acting as they have because, this time, their victim happens to be a conservative is distasteful, at best. That MSNBC and Quigo are all too happy to support it through their corporate decision-making is beyond distasteful - it's just flat-out wrong.
Yet, perhaps most disturbing of all, the mainstream media will likely accept it, as Michelle is a strong voice for conservative causes. Rivera's, and now Olberman's words and actions in this case should be unacceptable, no matter what your politics happen to be. That they'll mostly go without being commented upon by the mainstream media is a telling indictment of liberalism in media. They are unfair and unbalanced when it comes to covering people whose politics skew to the Right.

Stupidity has a well known liberal bias.

His being critical of Malkin boils down to misogyny? That's a hoot! Thanks for entertaining me this morning.

Misogyny? Look who's talking! Hahaha.

I wish liberals hated the terrorists just 10% as much as they hate Conservatives.

"I wish liberals hated the terrorists just 10% as much as they hate Conservatives."
I wish George W. Bush in charge of the terrorists. The Islamo-commie-fascinista problem would solve itself.

"Misogyny? Look who's talking! Hahaha."
OMG, this is just too much. I haven't laughed this hard in an age. chris accusing someone else of misogyny, how's that for irony? chris must live in a parallel universe. Hysterical!

Wait, the fill in host of The Factor is a victim of misogyny not committed by Bill O?

"She actually believes.....that we should be deporting people."
Uh, let me see, the last time I checked it was against the law to be in the US if you have not followed the proper procedures, and the legal remedy for that particular crime is deportation. But, of course, Olberman and Rivera are against law enforcement, and criticize anyone who is for it.
Getting rid of the maids, yardmen, berry pickers and food service workers really gets the lazy riled up. After all, who is going to do all that work for them at these prices, and take cash to boot? Who, I want to know? Damn Americans want lawful wages, and their Social Security taxes paid, and all that legal crap. We pay these Mexicans cash, who cares if they spread TB, murder people, kill others in car wrecks, etc. Jesus, we NEED our domestic help. You rednecks just don't understand.

Two words, Dan.
'Dixie Clits.'

"Getting rid of the maids, yardmen, berry pickers and food service workers really gets the lazy riled up. After all, who is going to do all that work for them at these prices, and take cash to boot?"
I noticed you missed the #1 application of illegal labor, which is by no means the realm of the "lazy" but has been the engine of the economy for several years now.
Home construction.
I know, I know: damn liberal contractors and liberal suburban home buyers...

If we get rid of illegals who is going to cut that darn liberal Mitt Romney's lawn?
Posted by: TheSpartan | Thursday, September 06, 2007 at 09:46 PM
*fascinating* how the same folks who unthinkingly, reflexively, automatically criticize ANY attempt by the USA to defend itself or its borders .....
*leap* to defend the wetbacks who break laws to cross those borders illegally.
hell, LEMMINGS show more free will than liberals. what conclusions can we draw about people who attack american troops and their command; yet fight for leeches who pay no taxes and squeal to use social services they're not entitled to? (see above.) can we question their patriotism NOW??

Bloodrage, did you know the first Marine killed in George's folly came to the US as an illegal?

an we question their patriotism NOW??
And no...no moron who follows this idiot son of an a-hole president gets to question my patriotism.

The guys who actually (not the owners) cut my lawn, clean my gutters, put down my mulch, paint my house and installed my new garage door didn't speak a word of English. Bonus, if you pay cash, you get a discount! I have every confidence that they are using that cash to pay SS and employment taxes. Rednecks=dinosaurs.

"They are unfair and unbalanced when it comes to covering people whose politics skew to the Right."
Also deranged comes to mind. Just look at some of the comments made by "liberals" here...but frankly, to call them "liberal" is a sad corruption of the meaning of the word. Instinctively they must know that as I see they are now trying to morph themselves into "progressives".
Morph on, mutts.

Bob, you're a liar. You don't even have a house. You said not long ago that you live in an apartment. Now, which is it, house or apartment? You liberals can't get your lies straight.

Here's a real puzzler. How do you morph "Dixie Clits" into something non-misogynistic?
Posted by: scarshapedstar | Friday, September 07, 2007 at 10:51 AM
"How do you morph "Dixie Clits" into something non-misogynistic?"
LOL. I think they already morphed.
Posted by: Philip McDaniel | Friday, September 07, 2007 at 12:23 PM
"How do you morph "Dixie Clits""
Yeah, right. And if they were guys and I called them the "Dixie Dicks" I'd had all men, too. It's total BS. I cited significant events from both of their pasts to make my claim, you come up with a one liner to come after me - weak, as usual.

spartan, did you know that the leading members and chairmen of the infamous blacklisting 'house unamerican activities committee' were all liberal democrats? but even THOSE asswipes didn't reflexively stand with wetbacks against their own country.
times change, liberals deteriorate. can we question their patriotism NOW??
Posted by: bloodrage bob | Friday, September 07, 2007 at 01:59 PM
"stand with wetbacks against their own country."
Rednecks is funny. Thankfully, the 'wetbacks' are putting your kind out of business.
Posted by: chris | Friday, September 07, 2007 at 02:49 PM
so chrissie the sockpuppet, the same asswipe who sneers at "rednecks" and refers to arabs as "goatherds", is subtly calling *me* the racist??
no shame + blatant intellectual dishonesty = liberals. interestingly, chrissie **didn't** deny favoring the WETBACKS over americans. i guess even liberals draw the line at SOME lies, huh?

"Yeah, right. And if they were guys and I called them the "Dixie Dicks" I'd had all men, too."
Yeah, okay, but "clit" is the creepiest insult I've heard in a while. As I said at the time, I woulda expected maybe "Dixie Tits" because calling someone a tit at least has a Monty Python ring to it.
Calling women clits is just weird and sexual no matter how you slice it.
