Bryan at Hot Air links a now disappeared UPI report of an attack that didn't happen on an Iraqi power plant. Some activity did occur a couple of days after the UPI report. But the story doesn't appear to have first come from UPI. It's from Voices of Iraq (VOI).
A media source from the Iraqi Electricity Ministry said on Thursday an armed attack caused al-Doura power plant, southern Baghdad, to be out of operation.
VOI is Aswat al-Iraq - which Reuters helped to establish. Doesn't Reuters have enough problems keeping its own stories and photos straight without funding more agitprop the UPI can then pick up without solid confirmation?
Aswat al-Iraq (Voices of Iraq) -
the independent news agency Aswat al-Iraq is an independent Iraqi news agency with contributions from a network of Iraqi correspondents spread throughout the country and from three independent Iraqi newspapers.
