A Gift For 9/11?

The mostly liberal media wants us to forget about 9/11. I'm not linking the now old NY Times editorial that made the point. But whether or not it turns out to be a serious threat, our enemies have not forgotten.

Federal counterterrorism officials are analyzing a posting on an Islamic forum Web site that warns of "a special gift" to be given on the sixth anniversary of Sept. 11, FOX News has learned.

Brilliant. This is why its so nice to have serious people making serious decisions, because I can just see Dick Cheney with his finger on the nuclear button, just staring at the wall clock waiting for '07 9/11.

What really makes me groan is the fact that six years later, our national government's first and only public response to terrorist threats appears to be wetting its pants. What, exactly, was the DHS and port security funds and increased airport security and that completely-fucking-worthless terror alert system supposed to do for us, exactly, other than piss away taxpayer dollars? Why is it that when a terrorist makes an online threat, all the White House knows how to do is rev up the bombers, and wait with baited breath for the counterattack? This is right out of 1984, with Oceania proudly charging out against Eurasia for the umpteen billionth time.

Imagine if, six years after Pearl Harbor, our President announced that any minute we might be under attack from the Japanese. Thank god FDR wasn't a Republican.

Hmm......let me see if I remember our history.

We had 12 million men in arms, 60,000 tanks, 100,000 aircraft, 1000's of ships, including over a hundred aircraft carriers, all coming to bear against the enemy, and ObamaLlama wants to compare WWII and the GWOT. And there were those two little things that landed on Hiroshima and Nagasaki that kinda decided the matter for the Japanese. I have a feeling if we had brought this kind of pressure against the Islamists, they wouldn't be making any threats, either.

I'll even go a little farther. I'll bet if we had even attempted to bring the pressure like I mentioned above on the Islamists, people like ObamaLlamaRama would be squealing like a pig. So really, thank God the Democrats of the WWII era weren't the pigs the Democrats have become today, or we would all be speaking German right now.

I just watched the Osama tape and red the transcripts, and I was wondering something. The US says that there is no "overt threats " in the taped message, right? Well the media is all over the fact that "osama" changed the color of his beard to look youthful???? What if him changing the color of his beard was the "signal" to start what ever plan they had devised for another 9/11 attack??? You don't necessarily have to "say" something in order to get your message out......Example, I give you the middle finger, you obviously know what that means and I haven't said a word. This borders on some secret squirrell shit...........

Yes, this is a point which has been raised by various counterterrorism experts. Some believe the black beard (which some Islamic scholars believe is only permissible during a time of war), may be a signal in itself.

Call me paranoid, but I consider the whole "we're gonna keep attacking and killing you" thing an overt threat. Just sayin'. :)
