so poor confused mohamed is just confused & skeert, and wants to cooperate to get this whole misunderstanding behind him, right? but - but - but see, "his english is poor", so he's having a hard time doing so.

if his english is so bad he can't come up with a decent alibi, how is it possible he's a "college student" at usf or wherever it was again? he's "a legal immigrant attending college" with no english skills. hmmm. seems like saving up all that money to come to america & go to college would be a waste of money *if he can't speak the language".

how very odd.

Debbie Schlussel's sources are reporting to her that this was a terrorist incident. See her site.

Snip*

More interesting, scary stuff on the terrorist duo and the University of South Florida, from Tampa Bay's 10 News (thanks to reader Duane for the tip):

When 24-year-old Ahmed Mohamed and 21-year-old Yousef Megahed appeared in court, there was no question in the prosecutor's mind what this was all about. She says Mohamed was in possession of pipe bombs and materials that could have been made to make more bombs.

Sherri Jackson who was Megahed's neighbor until March says FBI agents told her they were terrorists.

Jackson says the FBI came to question her Sunday.

Jackson says things seemed suspicious

She says she saw lot of traffic, a lot of people going back and forth, oxygen tanks being delivered UPS and Fed Ex deliveries and a lot going on.

Former FBI agent and terrorist expert Oscar Westerfield if they are terrorist the FBI must find out who is involved in this thing and how far does it go.

Westerfield says much investigation has to be done, but he is concerned that the car was stopped with explosives 7 miles from a naval base that housed detainees, adding it doesn't look good. . . .

Sherri Jackson is positive of one thing, her former neighbor left as if he didn't want to be found.

Jackson says they left in a hurry. She adds when they moved in they never looked like they were settled instead they looked like they could be gone in five minutes.

And these arrests focus attention on the University of South Florida which is the former employer of one of the founders of the terrorist organization, The Palestinian Islamic Jihad as well as Professor Sami Al-Arian who was convicted for conspiracy for helping that organization. And now once again USF is under the microscope. [DS: AND also Mana Saleh Almanajam and Shaker Mohsen Alsidran, the two Saudi students who boarded a schoolbus of children in Tampa as a dry run, were also students at USF.]

USF spokesman Ken Gullette says to focus on things like that is grossly unfair. [DS: Not Really.]

It may seem unfair to the university, but the arrests make it a fact USF will have to live with again.

USF bristles at the thought it could be a hot bed of terrorist activity, but in the 90's the FBI warned the university that problems were brewing and our sources say the University didn't want to hear it.

Hey FBI, you got shone up by the far smarter, far competent sheriff's deputies of South Carolina.

A broken clock is, indeed, right two times per day. And HAMAS gets its right to be the broken clock of terrorist groups, though far less than the daily allotment.

The terrorist group and its "personnel" call it correctly on yesterday's silly meeting between incompetent Israeli "leader" Ehud Olmert and Holocaust-Denier & Munich Massacre Paymaster, Palestinian Leader Mahmoud Abbas.

Of the phony "peace talks"--which will bring pieces, NOT peace--Associated Press reports:
hamasterrorist.jpgolmertabbas.jpg
On Peace Talks Alone, HAMAS is Right--A Waste of Time

In Gaza, HAMAS dismissed the meeting as useless. Ismail Haniyah of HAMAS, fired by Abbas as Prime Minister after the Gaza takeover, said experience has shown that peace talks bring no benefits.

Exactly. If only Israel would get that, for once. Repeat: Experience has shown that peace talks bring no benefits.

Moreover, they bring losses, casualties, reverse containment of terrorism, etc.

HAMAS gets this and is duly laughing at Israel and Abu Mazen. HAMAS knows that soon, it will be ruling the West Bank portion of the Palestinian Authority, too.

All while they are still having their Neville Chamberlain-style confabs.

Army & Air Force to Discipline 7 Officers over Religious Outreach

By Debbie Schlussel

Did you read the media story about the seven officers against whom the Army and Air Force are considering disciplinary action?

A Pentagon Inspector General report attacks the officers for appearing in uniform at at "often identifiable Pentagon locations" to assist a Muslim Embassy, an Islamist group, in the production of a fundraising video.

Among those accused are Army Brigadier General Vincent Brooks, deputy commanding general of the 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood in Texas, Robert Caslen, commandant of cadets at the U.S. Military Academy, and Air Force Major Generals Peter Sutton and John Catton (the latter two were in the video).

Oops, I lied. Silly you for believing. The soldiers are not being attacked for helping Muslims. That would never happen. Nevah Evah. Our government calls that "outreach," and it is highly lauded, applauded, and encouraged. You'd never hear of an Inspector General report--or even an initial investigation--were that the case.

Actually, the charity was Christian Embassy, an evangelical group. When it involves Christianity, it's criminal.

Larry Flynt's Former Lawyer Dismisses Hustler Chief's "Conspiracy Theories," Finds Faith

By Debbie Schlussel

Megahed apparently has an eBay account but doesn't seem to have bought or sold anything with it.

In the picture posted here the boys sure don't look innocent, scared and misunderstood. They are smirking. That says a lot right there. Also, the less that is said publicly by local law enforcement and the more tight-lipped the FBI is--the more serious the threat likely was.

The facial hair speaks volumes.

I always make pipe bombs out of left over fireworks and haul them around in the trunk of my car. Not. Are these guys really that stupid or do they think we are all democrats and swallow the terrorist lies hook, line, and sinker? Democrats start defending them in 5-4-3-2-1. Anyone checked out the American communist site KOS?
