The Left should be careful when it tries to play the hypocrite card. Let's see, Firedoglake is calling the Right and me hypocritical. In my case, they say I am attacking John Cole for defending Scott Beauchamp. I didn't realize Beauchamp was writing for TNR in Oct. of 2006. Doh! And of course, they only make it worse for themselves.
I’ve gone poking about the VOJ looking for his thoughts on Scott Thomas Beauchamp, and I’ve yet to see him — or any other right-wing blogger or radio host, with the sole honorable exception of John Cole (for which he got flamed, repeatedly, by other righty bloggers and their readers)
That's a tough case to make considering according to their link trail, I flamed Cole in October 2006 for not denouncing what the Left was up to back then - outting Hill Republicans. These guys should stick to boycotts that don't work. At least that doesn't make them look quite this stupid.
The Bigoted Left
The leading ad running on a page at DailyKos allegedly outing a Senator without any substantive proof is from the Left leaning Human Rights Campaign. Call it irony, or a sad joke.
From Michelle Malkin, one of those alleged Right Wing bigots the Left loves to loath via the WaPo:
Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael S. Steele accused a leading Democratic congressman yesterday of racial insensitivity for saying the Republican candidate has "slavishly" followed the GOP....
MM - But then I read more about the context of his remarks and Hoyer's past history of race-based insults against Steele. Hoyer didn't just innocently use the word in ordinary conversation. He employed it during a comedy routine in front of a crowd of mostly black business owners:
Not only has the party of John Kennedy, once dominant on national defense, given itself over to the blame America, appeasement movement represented by John Kerry ... the party of Martin Luther King and civil rights has given itself over to the tactics of homophobic hate and Jim Crow in a quest for a power they can almost taste.
The closer they get to winning, the more of their sad, hate-filled, shallowness they expose. America needs to reject the demogogy we're currently seeing from the Democrat Left by voting against it at the polls.
The loony Left has done what Republicans could not, re-energize the Republican base.

The left will self destruct, it is a given. The Republican Revolution happened because the Dems became corrupt and out of step with John and Jane Q public. The Republicans lost in 2006 because of the same thing, the only twist in the story was the fact that it happened so fast. This was because of new media. The Dems self destruction will happen at light speed (comparatively) for the same reason.
We have entered a new age of politics: never ending campaigns, constant scandals and rapid power shifts ( again Congress terms are mesured in years 2,4 and 6).
