Update: Image of Hillary and Norman Hsu available here. For background on why it was removed, please see here.
Norman Hsu, pictured at right with Senator Hillary Clinton, is wanted by authorities for failing to do a three year prison stretch based upon a no contest plea to grand theft swindling charges. This on the heels of a WSJ piece questioning Hsu's links to some controversial Clinton donors.
Interesting that along with Hillary's camp having spoken up for Hsu, Obama's chief fund raiser had positive things to say about him as well. Can we say culture of corruption now?
"He is a fugitive," said Ronald Smetana of the California attorney general's office. "Do you know where he is?"
The Los Angeles Times will report on this website later tonight and in Wednesday's print editions that a major Democratic Party fundraiser named Norman Hsu is wanted by authorities for skipping out on an agreement to serve up to three years in prison after pleading no contest to grand theft swindling charges.
In an exclusive story by Chuck Neubauer and Robin Fields, The Times will report that for three years Hsu has been carving out a place of political and financial influence by funneling hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions into Democratic Party coffers, much of the money earmarked for Sen. Hillary Clinton. He has earned the ranking of Hillraiser for pledging to raise at least $100,000 for her.
link: "Forget the politics -- Norman is widely regarded as decent, and enormously generous," says Orin Kramer, a hedge-fund manager who is a chief fund-raiser for Barack Obama, the Illinois senator who is Mrs. Clinton's strongest rival for the party's presidential nomination.

A lot of smoke here but is there a fire? We'll see. I know that I'll be following this one closely. Is this Hsu guy another ChiCom cutout? Time will tell.

"Time will tell."
Why Mr. christamfordmum, you are becoming circumspect. Congratulations.

Fred, that particular Chris is actually legit. S/He use to post here as "chrys" in times past.
Nope, such circumspection would not befit the other "chris" (as he calls himself lately) a.k.a. al-BoobInStamford.
As for Mr. Hsu and Hitlary - don't they look like two peas in a pod together? In fact, the two of them together put me in the mind of two circus clowns, albeit much, much scarier w/o the make-up on.

Oh my. This is such a SCANDAL. Too bad that the CONSERVATIVE Restroom Romeo is still denying the obvious. It should drag out for a long time.
Posted by: chris | Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at 09:42 AM
Hmm...the real Chris in the first post seems to be a very nice, decent and intelligent guy. The chris in the last post seems to be a wierd guy focused on sex scandals. I wonder if sex scandals are more of a threat to our nation than illegal fund raising. Didn't the Chinese gain billions of dollars in technology secrets during the last Clinton Administration, things such as MIRV missle warheads, etc?
The little character chris lacks intelligence. He might be a troll.

Where is Charlie Trie when you need him? Oh yeah, he's back in Red China with previous Chinese Clinton campaign donors. You have to admit one thing... the Clintons are the best politicians that Communist money can buy.

"Threat to our nation". How about finding bin Laden, patriot. After all, it HAS been neary 7 YEARS.
Mission accomplished!

Mr. Bin Laden is most likely dead. If he is alive, he is running from cave to cave, not daring to talk on a phone, etc. He would have to have all his messages carried by couriers, and his existance is miserable. Similar to your existence, by the tone of your comments. If Bin Laden was alive, we would have heard from him instead of his surrogates. The propaganda value of Bin Laden would be too great for him to remain silent and let Zawahiri do all the talking.

Thanks, seek, of course you are right. I read some good things by Chris previously. I guess circumspect as a word to describe chris (lower case c) will have to wait a few years.
Incidentally I'm sure chris will be interested to read more good news from Iraq. THE SURGE IS WORKING. SURGE ON SURGERS!

Sorry for the confusion between me and lower-case "chris". That guy is obviously a troll and suffering from BDS.

hi, gang! mao here! you know, from my vantage point here in hell, one thing i've come to really value is "getting a good deal for my money". take the clintons, for example. normally, when my successors purchase the services of a western politician, they run into all kinds of problems: the pols cash the checks and then won't return our calls; they *say* they'll betray their country, but then when it's time to send the discs in the diplomatic bag, they chicken out ... the usual crap. they just won't stay bought!
bill and hillary are a different story, though. we OWN those bitches! hell, they even offer 2-for-1 specials! gotta run - busy planning the invasion of taiwan right after our 'olympics' propaganda excercise. so much to do! remember now: be a good socialist! vote democrat!

"Didn't the Chinese gain billions of dollars in technology secrets during the last Clinton Administration, things such as MIRV missle warheads, etc?"
Great point. I wonder how deep that labyrinth goes..

Well, I suppose it could be worse. Clinton could be taking money from terrorists.
http://blogs.abcnews.com/theblotter/2007/02/accused_terrori.html
Although, I agree, alot of this big money fund raising is criminal in and of itself. The corruption is so bad, you'd think more Republicans would have been behind the lobbying reform bills Pelosi and Reid were pushing through Congress. You know, the one they can't get passed because Bush has threatened to veto it?

You people squeal like stuck pigs right up until someone tries to fix the problem. Then you squeal like stuck pigs because the solution is never exactly the way you want it (translation: not enough tax breaks). Does a conservative party do anything other than complain?

"--- the lobbying reform bills Pelosi and Reid were pushing through Congress. You know, the one they can't get passed because Bush has threatened to veto it? ---"
Now that depends, Zifquack.
That depends upon how much pork or other socialist agendas that are attached to the bill, or the weakening of particular item about disclosing earmarks.
After all, you can make all the (new) laws you want, but if nobody is obeying any of them, you still have corruption and a sort of a "controlled anarchy".
The only way to curb Congressional shenanigans is to have term limits and a clearer means of punishing criminal congress-critters who think that they are above the law.

Hmm....for one who seems to worry about other people complaining, you are the very worst of the complainers on this blog, IslamoLlama. That's about all you do, very rarely offering anything constructive. You seem to be a troll, too.

Republicans should totally get on that the next time they're a majority in Congress.

There is so much misconduct, controversy, and crime that Hillary has been engaged in, from the distant to recent past. There is so much simmering under the surface... I hope that a lot of these things are uncovered, during the presidential election cycle.
But time for that is running out.

"Republicans should totally get on that the next time they're a majority in Congress."
And so should the Dems. Additionally, both parties need to be kept on a VERY short leash, and regularly smashed upside the noggins with a good, steady, clue-bat made of solid oak.

Don't forget how she killed Vince Foster.
