Dem Insider Fined In Stock Scam
Update: via Allah - Kos lets loose teh Gay slurs against Drudge for the report. Um, isn't it a New York Times story and hasn't Drudge recently been talking about how the majors troll him for links? And I thought only conservatives found the New York Times stories a bit queer.
That's life in the big city ... on Monday the Washington Post is touting you as a "new" Democrat Party insider
(Markos Moulitsas Zuniga of Daily Kos, Jerome Armstrong of MyDD and Matt Stoller, formerly of MyDD and now at Open Left, etc.) are now insiders in their own right, players in national party dynamics.
And on Wednesday the New York Times is reporting your $30k fine for a stock touting scheme complete with the SEC Report.
Prominent liberal blogger Jerome Armstrong has agreed to pay nearly $30,000 in fines in a settlement with the Securities and Exchange Commission over allegations that Armstrong touted the stock of a software company,
Vis Numar isn't just reading the stars these days ... he is one. Congratulations, Vis - you have truly arrived.
Yet, not so long ago, he was called the Astrologer Jerome by some.
Astrologer Jerome Armstrong notes that Ixion and Quaoar are following close in Pluto's wake in early Sagittarius, and connects the rise of the political version of religious fundamentalism with the astronomical exploration of the Kuiper Belt in 1992. He cites incidences as disparate as the rise of Osama bin Laden onto the world stage and the Republican Revolution of 1994, fueled by Christian fundamentalist voters and culminating now with all three branches of government in Republican control. In addition, he cites the ascendance of political Hinduism in India in 1996 with the election of the BJP. One might add to this list the emergence of Conservative majorities in Israel and the UK. [The author wishes to acknowledge the help and inspiration provided by astrologer and author Jerome Armstrong of AstroWorld.mydd.com for information and links regarding Varuna and Trans-Neptunians which have been vital to the preparation of this article.]
MyDD didn't have anything to do with democracy, direct, personal, or otherwise when it started out as an astrological tabloid, forcasting the ups and downs of the stock market based upon the stars. One only needs a Wayback machine to confirm that. And it didn't begin in June, click April to see that.
Even Ali-bubba re-appears to riff on no longer all that poor Jerome.

I saw this explained a long time ago, the SEC sure drug their feet on this one compared to other time frames in their other cases.

If indeed this individual did so, he was simply following the example of your Great Leader, Kim Jong Bush. http://www.truthout.org/cgi-bin/artman/exec/view.cgi/7/3818

To be fair, it was a Kos diarist, not Kos himself.
Yes, its Kos's site, but the post was merely one of his minions of braindead flying monkeys spewing the homophobia.
Maybe, if we're lucky, the post will be deleted.

And to the guy who (seriously) just cited Truthout - yes, the ROVE IS INDICTED IN PLAME LEAK Truthout - as a credible basis for his paranoid Bush-hating fantasy...
BWAHAHAHAHA....HAHAHAHAH!!!!

Shouldn't the Astrologer Jerome Armstrong now be "frog-marched out in chains" or do we have to wait "24 business hours?" (h/t Truthout -- or is that OutaTruth?)

If you think that's bad, go check out the nutcase's home page. Really, all those folks are a dime a dozen (hence their need for gov't to nurse them).

Interesting how that dKos diarrhea-ist pulls out teh ghey card:
"---
Famous self-hating closeted homosexual and right wing propagandist blogger Matt Drudge has taken aim at the DailyKos community today. He's running the following "breaking" story...
---"
Doesn't take long for our ultra-homophobic friends on the Loony Left to pull that one out.

So, Bill, is "following the example of ... Bush" an excuse nowadays? It's ok for outspoken liberals to be like Bush now?
Posted by: Roy Johnson | Thursday, August 09, 2007 at 01:09 PM
This story, along with the resulting reaction on Kos, should be sent to the campaign headquarters of every Democratic Candidate asking them if they really wish to continue to associate themselves with these idiots and go their little get togethers
