We honor Jerome Armstrong for his visionary leadership in working to create the online netroots community, which has changed the face of politics forever in America by creating a mechanism for people to come together and demand accountability from their leaders. Jerome’s actions represent the forward thinking approach our organization is championing.
Unfortunately, today, you need Google cache to find that out - the once live link to the Armstrong announcement can no longer be found at 21st Century Dems. If I didn't always think of him as Vis Numar, well ... it'd be almost like throwing George Washington out of the rowboat, if you know what I mean.
More here on Armstrong from Rogers Cadenhead:
In April, Armstrong received the Paul and Sheila Wellstone Award for Political Organizing from the Twenty-First Century Democrats "for his visionary leadership in working to create the online netroots community, which has changed the face of politics forever in America by creating a mechanism for people to come together and demand accountability from their leaders."
