Some perspective here, if you're interested. This first clip is Van Morrison circa 1965, I think - with Them. It's long and you might not want to watch the whole thing. Basically, it gives you a sense of how the state of Rock has changed, among other things. You can see and hear Morrison's talent but I suspect neither he, nor anyone else was into arranging at this point. LOL Watch the first few minutes if nothing else , then click to the second video - much shorter. Supposedly that's where Morrison became known as Van the Man due to Robertson's comment at the end of Caravan.

Caravan

Yay! What a treat! I've seen him a couple of times ...much later in his career.... and he brings it on down to soulville. He played sax one night for what seemed like half an hour straight. Maybe it was the pot or just a mahvelous night for a moondance.. :)

It all reminds me of that movie I can't remember the name of about Rasputin whipping out his weiner on top of a table in a Russian tavern essentially saying you can't touch this.
Of course the rest of the film shows Ruskie ladies had any thing but ice cubes between their knees back then.

I plan to. Sometimes finding a solid version on line can be tough. I was actually looking over a few, haven't settled on one, yet.
