It would appear the Mainstream media's honeymoon with John McCain is over. I wonder if the Times is piling on because this happened while McCain was leading the Republicans during the Iraq War debate?
About 3 p.m. Tuesday, Senator John McCain ducked off the Senate floor, entered the Republican cloakroom and took out his mobile phone. Just hours after accepting the resignation of his two top campaign aides, he was making a conference call to his top fund-raisers to urge them to keep up the fight.
Senate ethics rules expressly forbid lawmakers to engage in campaign activities inside Senate facilities. If Mr. McCain solicited campaign contributions on a call from government property, that would be a violation of federal criminal law as well.
Mr. McCain was well aware of the rules. Ten years ago he led Republican calls for an independent prosecutor to investigate accusations of violations of the same rules by Vice President Al Gore. Mr. McCain went on to make the episode a cornerstone of both his 2000 Republican primary campaign and his argument for the McCain-Feingold campaign finance law.

So who was spying on him? This is nuts. Our guvmint callin' for money and whores on taxpayers' property.
Damn shame. Next thing you know they'll be calling for pizza. I say take away their cell phones.

And he totally could have won the Presidency too, if it wasn't for those freak'n kids!

McCain gets the Axe?
Good deal, if it brings FDT another step closer to the White House.

can't muster up much sympathy for mccain, seeing as how he's an open-borders POS with serious anger-management issues.
but hopefully - and doubtfully - this'll be a lesson for any GOP guy who sucks up to liberal positions in order to curry favor with the new york times: to do so is to dine with wolves. and in the end, no matter what you do or say, no matter how resolutely you adhere to the liberal creed....in the end, they'll eat you alive.
this has been going on for *decades* now: and still moronic RINO's fall into the trap over & over.

oh, i'll admit to the occasional burst of anger, llamadamadingdong. i'll even admit i have recurring dreams of battle: swords, armor, men & horses, all that. sad, huh?
but then again, i'm not running for president, now am i. mccain reacts to having his desires thwarted with screaming, red-faced rages. just like hillary does, BTW.
not really the kind of behavior we want from a CinC with his/her finger on The Button. can you imagine hillary responding to a state dinner in which her food was unforgivably overcooked? "is paris burning, general?!?"
