Not being able to poll better than Bushitler is quite a statement isn't it? Maybe congress should redeploy to Okinawa?

Nah. Send congress to Mexico.

This I do not believe: This morning someone rang my doorbell but I wasn't dressed so didn't answer. They left a flyer in the door: Hispanic Jehovah Witness. YEP. Jaysus! or Haysus!

The entire flyer is written in Spanish. Like, did they think Hispanics lived here? And if I'd answered the door how would we have communicated other than nodding our heads, smiling and me accepting that I could be one of 144K who will get to heaven if I'm good. oh man.... this world is nuts....

"If you want to get to heaven, I'll tell you what to do, you got to grease your feet with mutton stew" Talking Blues as sung by Woody Guthrie, Sr. Hope this helps, Phoenix.

Got a bunch of JW's who work my neighborhood on a regular basis. They eventually figured out I wasn't buying what they were selling since I'm not too polite in delivering that message after the 10 or so visits where I was polite.

Thanks, Fred. I can't handle the mutton stew grease so I just won't answer the door when heaven/paradise knocks.

PA, I taught a number of Jehovah's Witnesses, and one girl was particularly friendly and eventually got around to asking if she could come over. She did not state then that she was JH but used some pretext that I think had to do with antiques. Teachers never let their students visit, but she was persistent and I didn't want to be rude. She showed up with her mother and another lady and of course I let them in. We made awkward small talk and then the religious message came out. I was cool and friendly and after a while they left. I felt violated. They came back about FIVE times before they got whatever polite hint I was giving off that I wasn't interested. It was utter torture because they showed up on a Saturday - the day teachers scramble to get stuff done and never announced the visits ahead of time - naturally, or they'd find no one home.

It's so rude.
