New Zealand has no written constitution. It's a constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary democracy; there is only one chamber. It's currently led by a coalition of Labour and Progressives, so I guess this shoudln't be a total shock. You kid them not, or something like that. Can You imagine? Chilling.
In June, New Zealand’s House of Representatives voted to institute new media rules, which in effect ban the use of images in a way that satirizes, ridicules or denigrates lawmakers. Breaches of these measures can be treated as contempt of Parliament, a charge that can result in imprisonment.

Bunch of moronic serfs. They're getting the government they deserve.

Zum Befel, mein Uberfuhrer!
It's amazing how fascist the progressives can get in the name of anti-fascism, isn't it?

Wow? Arrested for verbally defying the government? I'm so glad our country doesn't do that.

At least the Kiwis were not dumb enough to join the Coalition of the "Willing".

Another non-sequitur by IslamoZifnab.
The NZ case is where you get thumped for simply making fun of public officials. By comparison, something like that in the USA would be akin to the FCC yanking the license for the Comedy Network to play SouthPark, Jon Stewart's Daily Show, or the (Stephen) Colbert Report - among so many other programmes and web sites critical of the government.
IslamoZif's example is about a woman trespassing into a security cordon established for the safety of the Presidents of the USA and Russia. She wasn't arrested for her speech so much as she was for her illegal movement.

"At least the Kiwis were not dumb enough to join the Coalition of the "Willing"."
Which of course is why they sent support and engineering units to Iraq and Afghanistan right?
I would suggest you look into joining the "coalition of the morons" since you can't even figure out how to research commonly available public information.

I'm so sorry, brave one. Meant to point out that they ditched the 'heros' over there in 2004.
Keep up the good fight, patriot!!
