Update2: Per this article, the presence of a sensitive site team wouldn't necessarily mean there had been a mass grave. They seem to function more as a police investigative unit for ongoing operations.
the sensitive site exploitation team with Battalion Landing Team 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, he and his fellow Marines can process a crime scene using modern evidence collecting procedures to help uncover possible weapons and the people who’ve used them.
If a house or a vehicle is searched and weapons or explosives are found, Breslin and his Marines go over the area with a fine tooth comb collecting all evidence of possible insurgent activity.
Update: To be clear, Thomas is allegedly at FOB Falcon but would have pulled some duty at COP Ellis if Johannes is correct.
JD Johannes suggests he knows where TNR's pseudonymous Scott Thomas might be located.
Assuming he's correct and it is COP Ellis, is this the same COP Ellis? The story names some names and indicates there is, or was a sensitive site excavation team there. Question: Is this the site and could "sensitive site" refer to a mass grave?

Here's some video of a sandstorm at a COP Ellis as well. It was posted on June 6.

"that narrows it down to about 100 guys"
When you're looking for the moonbats, that would narrow it down to under 5 guys (on average).

Maybe I'm missing a beat here, but, didn't the DoD issue orders for these blogs to be registered? I mean, TNR said it's from a blogger/diarist. So, this guy has done a number of things with his posting/writing:
1) If he is not registered (following Blackfive's original suggestion that those that do not register with their commands will most likely be "dirtbags"), this guy will have the internet MPs after him.
2) When they find him, he has admitted to a number of violations, including possibly not being registered or providing inappropriate information.
3) Now that TNR says they have had contact with his "buds" and they confirm it, when this soldier's command finds him they will also find his buddies (if they exist) and they will be in serious trouble.
4) If he is registered, his direct platoon commander and on up will be in trouble for not monitoring his website.
5) Even if he isn't registered, if any part of his story is true or alleged to be true, he just screwed, not only his buddies, but all those in his direct line of command who will be charged with dereliction of duty because they did not keep their troops in line.
6) He will have made it extremely hard, once again, for fellow milbloggers.
This guy is what Blackfive would call a "Blue Falcon" You guess what the BF stands for.
