The Left thinks people are going to have an issue with this new video of Rudy? Why? Especially if you remember Dinkins in NYC. He was full of bullsh/t. LOL

Oh, dear! Greg Sergeant of TPM's got the smoking gun! (Don't click; I'll give you the link for the vid in a sec.) Being a New Yorker, I'd remembered that during a cop union rally in 1992, Rudy had come... [Read More]

Refreshing honesty there. Dinkins was a disaster of epic proportions.

TPM, like so many on the Left, believe that evangelicals and other morally-sensitive people will initiate a knee-jerk rejection of Rudy simply because he uses an expletive ... after all, people like that supposedly lack "nuance".
Believe me, this evangelical is more nuanced than that. While there are many things I don't like about Rudy (and this should not be construed as my endorsement of his candidacy), he does have a track record of positive results that advance the causes of morality, peace, and freedom that beats the track record of ANY of his Democratic opponents ...
... which isn't that high a bar to jump over -- sheesh, I have as much or more PRACTICAL (as opposed to the hot air of oratory) experience that would apply to running this nation as Hillary or Obama do ... and so do the vast majority of Americans.
It is a classic moral question ... do we elect someone amoral but competent, or (supposedly) moral but incompetent? Do failings of moral wisdom (as opposed to obstruction-of-justice, Clintonoids) that do not significantly impact one's ability to serve our nation, demand that we disqualify an otherwise-competent person from a position of leadership?
We tried the moral-but-incompetent route ... and I thank God that I was still in school, and wasn't out trying to earn a living (let alone serving in the military or Foreign Service), at any point during the Carter years.
OTOH, I believe that my God is in control, and can persuade and guide even an amoral man to do the right things, when placed in a position of leadership (re: Romans 13). We have seen that with Rudy's leadership of NYC ... Times Square was a den of iniquity; thanks in large part to him, I can take my grandkids there now, to see the sights.
Once again ... we see that the Best and Brightest are CLUELESS when it comes to how people who are examples of "diversity" from the herd-think of secular-progressives, evaluate the world around them ... their paranoia that sees a Puritian whenever someone actually cares about morality blinds them to reality.

Anybody who was within smelling distance of NYC in 1992 knew what a complete crap Mayor David Dinkins was. Just like John Street is now in Philadelphia.

I may be a Fred supporter, but I have to call bullshit on this as an issue. The idea that anyone can make a bullshit issue over Rudy calling bullshit bullshit is pure bullshit.

Rudy got elected with those glasses?

Yes that is the real Rudy! That's why I like him. To this day there is an NYC BR and AR.
Thanks to Random Numbers for clearing the bullshit.
