I came across a curious claim by former National Family Planning & Reproductive Health Association president, Judith DeSarno - now claiming Fred Thompson lobbied for her organization on abortion rights issues in 1991.

Tuesday, 31 May 2005 -- Judith DeSarno does not want to be part of the never-ending abortion debate. “I’m the birth-control gal,” said DeSarno, president of the National Family Planning & Reproductive Health Association in Washington, D. C.

Yet she’s being drawn into the battle.

A long with speaking engagements and appearances on Air America and the anticipated donations to Democrats, as with this $2,000 to John Kerry, I've been unable to find anything detailing abortion lobbying activities by the organization she then headed.
