Up to eight police officers and civilian staff are suspected of links to extremist groups including Al Qaeda.
Some are even believed to have attended terror training camps in Pakistan or Afghanistan.
Their names feature on a secret list of alleged radicals said to be working in the Metropolitan and other forces.
The dossier was drawn up with the help of MI5 amid fears that individuals linked to Islamic extremism are taking advantage of police attempts to increase the proportion of ethnic staff.
Astonishingly, many of the alleged jihadists have not been sacked because - it is claimed - police do not have the "legal power" to dismiss them.
We can also reveal that one suspected jihadist officer working in the South East has been allowed to keep his job despite being caught circulating Internet images of beheadings and roadside bombings in Iraq.
He is said to have argued that he was trying to "enhance" debate about the war.
Classified intelligence reports raising concerns about police staff's background cannot be used to justify their dismissal, sources said.
Dan, I assure you we have more than 8 AQ supporter cops in the US right now. We don't have the power to fire them either. This is part of the reason the Feds don't share info downward in the LE community very often.

First off we need to stop refering to islam as a religion and start treating it like we treat the KKK. The followers of islam are bigots and spewers of hate speach against any other group than their own. They hat gays, women and all non muslims.
The followers of islam need to either learn to live and let live or they need to be forced to.
Alittle over 60 years ago we needed to teach this lesson to the Germans and the Jappanes. We taught them both a harsh lesson that they have not forgoten in over 60 years. We carpet bombed their cities, killed their men, women and children and we occupied their nations and in the case of Japan their new constitution. If that is what it takes to get a generation or so of peace in the muslim world we need to do it.

Muslims believe dogs to be "unclean", not to mention pigs, monkeys, Jews, Christians... The heresy of islam was proven to me with the dog thing. The other islamist beliefs just remind me of the "Lord of the Flies" kids, volume 2, "Maggots in the Desert of Hate". It gives my soul great joy to see the truth of this stoneage cult exposed for the evil it is. "Peaceful" muslims try to unscrew the pooch, mouthing denial (read taqquiah) of Mo-ham's call to atrocities. Who in their right mind believes them? More to say, but it's time for "The Dog Whisperer" on tv, and my shepherd would be muslim-pissed if she missed it.
