Okay, assuming you are, it might not be the achievement some would think:
One of my own errors before the war was a function of being steeped in Washington policy debates - and neo-conservative arguments - for years. I had been so conditioned to suspect Iraq after 9/11 that my skepticism deserted me. I mentioned Saddam on September 12.
I lived 30 minutes form the Towers when they went down. Prior to the Iraq War, I watched every major Presidential address on either 9/11, or Iraq. Not on 9/11, 9/12, or any day since have I ever thought Saddam Hussein was directly involved with 9/11 - not even in a directly supportive role.
But evidently within whatever echo chamber Sullivan currently resides, they think they thought it because of Bush. I guess it must be true.

If Andy had a brain half as strong as his supposed "power glutes", I reckon he'd come up with something a little better than the usual BDS answer to everything.

"steeped" and "conditioned"? Does he not have a mind of his own?
And anthropomorphic "skepticism"? He's a shell. Flatlined.
"These things keep happening to me! Oh no..."

"Are You More Intelligent Than Andrew Sullivan?" Well at least we didn't get on our knees for Kerry like Andrew did.

It's easy to forget now, but when a Democrat was President it wasn't considered controversial that Saddam supported terrorism including al-Qaeda.

Here's what Leftist pressures on the Government has achieved to keep us more safe, from Little Green Footballs:
"Good work, lefties. How many people have died because of your bleeding-heart crusade to get the jihadis at Guantanamo released? Freed Guantanamo inmates take up arms.
AT LEAST 30 former Guantanamo Bay detainees have been killed or recaptured after taking up arms against allied forces following their release.
They have been discovered mostly in Afghanistan and Pakistan, but not in Iraq, a US Defence Department spokesman told The Age yesterday.
Commander Jeffrey Gordon said the detainees had, while in custody, falsely claimed to be farmers, truck drivers, cooks, small-arms merchants, low-level combatants or had offered other false explanations for being in Afghanistan.
“We are aware of dozens of cases where they have returned to militant activities, participated in anti-US propaganda or engaged in other activities,” said Commander Gordon.
Thirty dedicated mujahideen can kill a lot of people.
(Hat tip: Andrew Bolt.)
This is what comes of giving the completely unqualified all the rights of a captured, uniformed soldier under the Geneva Convention. In the meantime some of our formerly smart but now emotionally crippled elite, like a former Commandant of the Marine Corps, argue that we shouldn't be "torturing" terrorists because that endangers our troops. It endangers our troops? This is nuts. The enemy gives our troops no rights whatever. If they capture one of our troops, they torture and kill them. How's that for protecting our troops?
