Al Qaeda On The Way?

Still more intelligence suggesting Al Qaeda wants to pull something off inside the US this summer. Word is a cell is on the way here. The challenge is, they (al Qaeda) can float this stuff all the time whether it's genuine, or not ... and you can't afford to ignore it. There have been quite a few items like this pointing to summer, though. It'd be a hell of a thing if we see war in Lebanon, an attack here, also potentially in the UK, which they are still threatening over Rushdie. Almost enough to make you get medieval on someone's ass.

But, of course, we can't do that. It'd be torture.

Well, observer, you can be sure of one thing, PC and multiculturalism wouldn't stand in the way of the twoofers, liberals and Leftists suspending whatever laws and rights they would need to lock up Christians, Republicans and the other "dregs" of society, as one who posts here under the nick legal eagle proposed a night or two ago. Oh, he really only suggested exporting us to Mexico, leaving out the how, although anyone with a brain knows he is suggesting force, although he would be too much of a chickenshit to attempt such a thing himself.

And he claims to be a member of the legal profession. Pathetic, but not surprising, given the hate now being pushed by the Left, including trying to murder members of the Armed Forces. Although the useless moonbat at least had the wherewithal to kill himself.

Alot of people are worried that people like legal eagle would do things against Christians and conservatives. I wouldn't worry to much because I am very sure that the Army would make short work of any attempt to do it. The millitary loaths the left and we would see a coup if anything to extreme was tried. That being said I fully believe that if the left ever gets contol of both houses of Congress and the White House this country will suffer such a disaster as has never been seen befor.

You are paying attention to the politics, and not reality. It's the sermon I keep giving the intellectual lightweights who call themselves [variously] liberal, Democrat, "progressive". Politics is snake-oil marketing. It's the art of mixing convenient fact with comfortable fantasy in order to get a group of people dancing around the flagpole, to agree to support your policy, or simply to elect you. The essential difference between the folks, once elected, is often negligible if it's even descernible at all.

Particularly in the area of defense and foreign policy. They both do the same things. They do them in different *ways*, maybe, but the same things get done. I have never had to worry about my job being terminated because a Democrat was sitting in the velvet chair.

We were just as high-handed and self-serving under Clinton as we are now under Bush, and Democrats who wail their crocodile tears because "the world hates us now" apparently woke up from their coma in January of 2001. Foreigners -- including citizens of "friendly" nations -- were burning Clinton in effigy during Kosovo because it was high-handed US militaristic imperialism; and burning Uncle Sams ditto for the general "hegemony" they love to whine about in idiot PoliSci classes and other third world brain-trusts.

They're doing the same now with Bush in charge. The song hasn't changed, they've just moved to the next verse. I watched a documentary two nights ago on the '80 Olympic hockey team in historical context: they were burning *Carter* in effigy as the Great Satan imperialist war-dog. That's right: ineffectual, weak-kneed, lilly-livered, mealy-mouthed, "moral equivalent of war" Carter.

Why? Because we were doing the same things under Carter that we were doing under Johnson, Nixon and Ford before him, and Reagan, Bush I, Clinton and Bush II after him.

And if you'll listen to the big names in Democratic presidential hopefulry, what -- apart from disengaging Iraq -- is in their plans? Darfur.

Oh, but it won't be because of anything crass and materialistic like oil, or the whiff of same; it'll be *noble* and *altruistic* in favor of assuring human rights to a group of people who have been revolutionaries for the last half dozen years and slave-traders for the past thousand. And if slave-traders can't be treated gently while their revolutions are being put down, well! then what's a "progressive" to do?

It's the same foreign policy song-n-dance, just going off broadway.

And some of the Democratic candidates aren't even committing at this point to disengaging Iraq. My guess is because they know better. They know they can't, or won't, or it wouldn't be smart. And if/when they get into office, they'll simply find a different method of politicking the same foreign policy ... and a large number of the Democrats-on-the-street who are now wailing their crocodile tears will dry their eyes, sniffle loudly twice, and swallow the bullshit in one gulp.

...because there is no difference.

Oh Fred. I know I'm being manipulated. Why, I never go out without a steel helmet and body armor. And I have bright bumper stickers emblazoned on my truck that scream "WATCH OUT - THEY'RE COMING!" "RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!" I also never leave home without my mace or a baseball bat. I'm glad they're manipulating me even if I don't know who 'they' are because I am just too dumb to be aware of what those news people say. They are probably lying and I want to live.
